Bought this here Pelican telescopin' emergency paddle ‘cause I got a habit of losin' stuff—mostly my main paddle, usually after talkin' trash to the wind. Sure enough, first trip out, a gust hit me like my ex-wife's lawyer and whoosh—main paddle gone. Whipped this lil' feller out like a redneck ninja and kept on floatin' like I meant to do it. It's compact, light, and strong enough to make you feel like you ain't completely doomed. If you paddle like you drink—reckless and one-handed—this is a must-have.

Seems more durable than the cheaper orange collapsing paddle available. I own both. The other is a bit smaller, so I have it in my waverunner. This one is going in the boat.

Perfect for what they are, these paddles worked for backup emergency equipment and have an adjustable length which was nice for giving the kids a chance to try out paddling.

Love this paddle. Works.perfect in my pond prowler boat. I have had other brands that were hard to callapse and open. This one is very smooth.

This paddle is great for storage and works as it should. However it's not great for pushing off objects to get your boat away as the collapsible lock will not hold. It overall great for its purpose and value.
