Pendaflex® Hanging File Folder Frames, 18-27", Letter/Legal Size

This is a letter sized frame. It took 2 minutes to put together. So easy! I purchased it to install in a wooden toy box that I want to use as a file. The frame fit perfectly. Who knew?

Did what it designed to do without any modifications.

These frames are heavy duty and hold all the weight you can put on them with hanging files. This is the only hanging file frame I will use to convert older file drawers to hanging file drawers. Only draw back is that you may have to cut the support rods that run along side the drawer to fit your specific drawer. The best solution is a hand held grinding/cutting wheel. If your file drawers are shorter in length than the rods, you can not just install the frames without cutting the rods. That is a little more work, but the result is worth it.

Product is strong and easy to assemble. A bit difficult to break off the end to fit the drawer, but with two pliers we were able to do so. Better than most products on the market.

Overall nice quality product.

The product description clearly states that no tools are necessary. It is much harder to attach the parts of the unit than listed in the instructions. I had to used a flat-head screwdriver to put the parts together. Then the length must be adjusted to fit the file drawer. Pliers didn't work. Wire cutters didn't work. A hacksaw was required! The unit is great after all that.

It was the product that I wanted but I had to saw off the ends of the frame to fit my file. There is no mention that you may have to do this. The directions make it sound like all you do is "snap off the ends" if they don't fit. There is no snapping. You must saw them off.

I had difficulty assembling this item. The rails were very hard to attach, I had to enlarge the opening with pliers and still had to use a hammer to insert the rails to the legs. Also had to cut the rails, I thought they snapped off, but doing that simply bent the rail. However, once assembled, it is fine.

I bought Pendaflex hanging folder frames since they make so many products for filing. I was not happy with the hanging file folder frames. The front and back panels both came a part and I had to use a hammer and vise-grips to get them back together. They are strong, but hard to trim to the right size also.

Packaging was so poorly taped that half of the pieces were missing by the time it arrived. One end was partially torn off and the other end barely had any tape on it
