This is very easy to fill as the top comes completely off. The seeds do get stuck in the connector so you need to clean them out to close but it’s fairly easy. Nice looking and hangs well . Well worth the price . Def will buy more when I need to replace others .

I have five of these bird houses in my back yard. They are easy to load a large amount of sunflower seeds into them and they last about one week long before I have to load them again. Squirrels do get to them and chew through the bottom holes to make them larger to get at the seed easier, but that doesn't bother me. Everyone needs to eat. The price point is so good that I just purchase new ones when they start to get a little worn out. Please NEVER discountinue these birdfeeders because I am very OCD and I want all my bird feeders to match in the back yard.

This was one of few hanging bird feeders that was big enough to accommodate larger birds, but the perimeter perch is too close to the feed trough except for small birds. I had to fashion an added perimeter perch from wood to accommodate larger birds. All the hanging feeders I researched had similar problems .

Very difficult to pour seed in it without filling the top part were the lid attaches then the lid doesn't want to connect becuase the notches are full of seed. The birds also seem able to empty this thing out in hours (they just swipe the seed out all over the place). The birds also like to scoop / swipe the seed out of the old feeders also but it took them a couple of days with the old feeders vs hours with these. I think the openings were the seed flows into the tray/troft is to big on these and allows to much seed to fast.

I previously purchase one and I will not be filling the new one completely full. Found it laying on the ground one morning because one end of the wire for hanging it had pulled out of the metal clip. I will still use the original, but have ordered a metal post to mount it.

Let me add an important caveat! I bought this feeder explicitly for sunflower seeds. Unfortunately, they seem to spill out too easily and too many seeds end up on the ground within a very short period of time. Other seeds may last longer within the tray. I realize, birds will be birds and rake out the less appealing seeds while looking for that special morsel.

I usually love this bird feeder. I have to say if I could return for a refund I would. It has broken already the cable broke and has destroyed the feeder.

Cheaply made. After about a week the top stopped locking. I also noticed way too much bird seed waste on my grass. So much so I swept up several full dustpans. After the feeder was emptied I noticed that the plastic peice just detached. So, I cleaned it up and am planning to take it back and buy a new feeder. I guess you get what you pay for.

I have an old one just like this new one that is great. The new one is made of very thin plastic, the top is impossible to latch and a hail storm put a huge hole in the thin plastic. The 10 year old one beside it is still going strong.

Low quality made . Item broke after first day being filled and placed. Definitely a no buy. I'd love to be reinbursed but don't know how to request. I'd never suggest to some one else.
