Good price for a good quantity of seed. Just within a week and it's coming up where I made a new plot. Stripped the ground and scored the dirt with my rake. Then sprinkled some top soil and garden dirt in the area I'm planting. The seeds spread well and stick good especially once you water it to make it stick. I will be purchasing again.

It works! The grass grew quite quickly! All I did was hand toss it all around where my yard had no grass on a dampened ground. It had rained previously. Perfect! Thank you (:

I'm not too sure how to review this product. I did not have luck with the seed coming up. But I think it's because I received and planted it too late in the year. And we ended up with freezes just as it was starting to try to sprout. It's a good mix of seeds and they were all well coated. The instructions are very clear and simple. I do not blame the product as I'm certain if I'd been able to plant earlier in the year I would have been successful. Perhaps now that spring is coming I will be surprised with some delayed late growth.

i have a large portion in the yard that i needed to cover. the soil there is rocky and terrible. i put a layer of topsoil and spread the seed. because of heavy rain and erosion i bought a second bag and filled in where needed. it looks great and as a beekeeper hobbyist, I'm giving a good bector source to my bees. i will be buying more.

We live in Los Angeles. The grass around our home used to look lush and lovely. The drought and recent strict, city, water restrictions turned our green grass lawn into a parched brown thatch. Pennington smart seed clover grass seed mix seemed like the idea solution for our front and backyard bare areas. The Durana white clover used in the Pennington mix needs less water, less fertilizer and less maintenance. The clover needs 4-6 hours of sun a day. The directions say to plant ¼ inch deep and the growth will establish quickly in 7-21 days. The clover grass seed mix lasts for years. The mix is good for slopes and hills and our front yard is slightly sloped! We read the instructions, we prepared the area by raking the thatch and soil. We were ready to plant the seed mix. The seed mix is colored green. It will be easy to see the green mix and determine if we have spread the mix evenly. Then, the recent rains came to our area. We are happy to see the rain after the severe drought conditions we've had here. We have not been able to plant the seed mix in these severe rain storms, though. As soon as one storm leaves another storm is on the way. The best time to plant the mix is when the temperatures are 60-80F for “Spring” and “Fall”. We have time on our side, the temperatures will be in that range for a while.We hope next week the rains will leave and we can plant the mix. Here are 2 “before” photos of our back lawn. Hopefully the rains will stop soon. We will then sprinkle the mix on the bare thatch areas.

Fast growing, affordable and easy to grow! Wasn't overly fussy when watering or in weather conditions! Started in small area and spread quickly. Durable and stable strong enough to withstand kids and dogs!

I grew up in the Mid-West with wide open fields and I loved scouring the ground for four-leaf clovers. Here in the manicured Californian suburban home, no one has clover. Every avoid it like the plague. But what people don't know is that the reason the open fields of the Mid-West is so green and lush is because it's healthy. Clover is a legume and it naturally restores nitrogen into your soil, meaning greener and healthier lawns.

Seems like a great mixture. We prepared the ground as directed and it started growing quickly. If you are getting this in order to have a lot of clover, make sure to check the ratio (the one sold in our store had about 4% clover seed by weight). We wanted the lawn to look about 50/50 grass and clover, so we bought a bag of clover seed to add separately.

I broadcast seed last fall, sprouted quickly but did not see any clover. Now it in the following spring, the grass is thick healthy. I have mowed twice, but still no clover. Go to a farm store a buy clover seed or hay mix because this doesn't do it.

About 2% of the seed in my mix was clover. Almost all grass seed or inert material. Very misleading name.
