Pennington is always my GO TO grass seed. The coating is the secret in my opinion. it germinates quicker and grows faster in all sun conditions. I have preferred Pennington for a very long time now.

Thankful for any improvement
I just got it but I used it twice today. Once earlier and late afternoon. Soaked it really good in to the dirt. So the birds don't eat it. I see some stubble can't wait to see tomorrow.

Had a large patch to work around not my yard d and early spring this worked great- about 12-14 days and it was sprouting!!!

Fantastic!!
Works as advertised! Within 21 days I went from a dirt backyard to lively green grass. Great product to grow grass from scratch, this was all I needed and a cultivator. Will be buying more for the front lawn. Highly recommend! I'm very pleased!

did alright. took a while for it to grow but it did. was gonna hive up hope. n buy anoyher bag. but it grew n im ok with it.

This is a reliable grass seed mix. I've used it a couple times to repair bald spots in my yard. Great results! It takes discipline to get seed to germinate. You must have the right outdoor temperature and you must be disciplined with the watering to maintain consistent moisture. Takes about 10 days to germinate. Covering the seed with 1/4 inch of topsoil or fine much will do a good job of protecting the seed from animals and in helping to hold moisture around the seeds. Early spring or fall work best.

Im rating this product based on PREVIOUS in store purchase. It wasn't available this time. Wait! Spring. Grass Seed. THE single time of year when extra stock should be available up north. IF ITEMS AREN'T AVAILABLE _ DON'T LET PEOPLE BUY THEM. The return process is ridiculous.

Bag came ripped open. Despite fresh dirt and raking it in along with daily watering, barely any of the seed took root

Do not buy!
Wow. This is the worst seed I have ever bought. Since Walmart stopped carrying the pro seed I was left with this as an option. Name brand assumed it would be good. Bought three bags to cover some fresh topsoil. Currently have one bag that did t even germinate and the other two that did nothing but weeds! I have never experienced this with seed before. It's 50% weeds and crab grass. Think twice before buying Pennington.

I bought 2 big bags for a 20x10 and it's all patchy water 3 times a day and took care of it put law. Soil just to help out . I gave up lol
