These seeds germinate pretty quickly, and provide a lovely variety of flowers - some tall, some short, some small, some large. The blooms attract pollinators of all kinds and are drought and heat tolerant.
Beautiful blooms! Attracting so many pollinators to my garden. The bluebonnets didn't germinate this year but I planted late, hopefully next year.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the Pennington Wildflower Texas Garden Mix, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The mix includes a variety of vibrant, pollinator-friendly flowers such as Texas Bluebonnet and Lanceleaf Coreopsis, which added a stunning splash of color to my garden. The seeds were easy to plant and came with clear instructions, making the process straightforward even for someone without a green thumb. After planting, I noticed germination within a couple of weeks, and the flowers attracted plenty of bees and butterflies, which was a bonus for my garden. However, I did have to ensure the soil was properly prepared and kept moist for the best results. One downside I encountered was the presence of a few weedy plants among the flowers. It wasn't a huge issue but required a bit of maintenance to keep the garden looking its best. Overall, I'd recommend this mix to anyone looking to create a beautiful, low-maintenance wildflower garden. Just be sure to follow the planting instructions carefully and prepare for a little upkeep as the plants grow.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a nice big back yard and a screened in porch where my cats love to watch the bird and butterflies, I'm hopping to have a nice full bed of flowers come spring. Unfortunately I live in Florida and its winter so our weather can't decide if it wants to rain, be freezing, or both. I tried to plant some but we of course had 2 days of rain followed by our version of really cold weather, surprisingly some sprouts did manage to root even with that. I tried planting again in some pots on my porch were I could control some aspects better and they sprouted nicely. You get a very generous amount in the bag, I'm looking forward to trying again in the yard when closer tp the spring when the flowers can thrive!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this free sample for review but every time I tried to plant them we got cold weather (in Florida). I tried again now that is the beginning of spring and so far I have some zinnias coming up. I can't say what the germination rate is because most of the bag is inert (filler) material but I'm looking forward to seeing what grows! I will plant more again soon!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I couldn't be happier with the **Wildflower Texas Seed Mix**! The seeds sprouted quickly, and within weeks, my garden was bursting with vibrant colors. The mix includes a great variety of native wildflowers that not only look stunning but also attract butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. The flowers are low-maintenance and well-suited for Texas weather, thriving even in the heat and requiring minimal watering. I love how this mix adds a natural, meadow-like charm to my yard. If you're looking for an easy way to bring beauty and pollinators to your garden, I highly recommend this seed mix!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon arrival, since the temperature range was optimal, I planted the mix immediately. As the weather warmed, I have been delighted to see all of the seeds sprouting and finally start to bloom. I was especially delighted by the array of colors.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these seeds free in exchange for a review. Despite living in the Southern part of the US we've had several stretches of could weather unsuitable for growing seeds, however following a warm stretch of days I planted some in a pot and was happy to see leaves peeking out after just a week. They haven't grown much in the two weeks since but I'm hopeful that they will continue to grow and be ready to bloom by the start of summer.
After a month of watering and good rain none of the seeds have sprouted. Waste of time and money
wouldn't grow I'm in Dallas Texas and I don't understand what happened
