Thanks to walmart, I get this product much cheaper than at any other retailer. These are my favorite. Not only are they delicious they are fun to eat. The crunch is satisfying but not enough to crack a tooth. The texture is perfect...a little rough but smooth going down. Great taste...not too sweet. I can eat an entire bag in one sitting.
These cookies are dangerous!!!! I cannot get enough of them!! Seriously some of the best cookies I've ever had and they were a totally random purchase because we needed Biscoff cookies for a friend and this was the only thing I could come up with that looked similar. Didn't have a clue what they'd taste like. These are impossible to resist so I had to hide them in the pantry so I wouldn't eat them all!!
They remind me of cookies I ate as a small child
The best Pepperidge Farm cookie
always yummy!
One of my favorite cookies, great buttery taste in a thin crisp cookie.
These are my most favorite of several PPFarm cookies, and I splurged on a bag. The Best By date was 03/Mar/24--22 days PAST!! I expect those dates at food pantries but was really angry that the "shopper" apparently just grabbed the first bag on the shelf not even looking at the date on the pkg! Then there is the issue of improper stocking of product on the shelves and removing outdated items. My first couple of deliveries were great, then I received broken eggs in 3 different cartons, rotten celery, bread due to expire in 2 days, and one rotisserie chicken that leaked its juices thru the bag over everything--incl the drivers car, and a box of teabags that had been opened! I have serious health issues that more often than not keep me from shopping in person, hence the Walmart membership. I certainly cannot afford to pay for 3/4 of a dozen eggs, bread due to expire in 2 days, celery with rotten-thru stalks clearly visible thru the packaging, cookies almost a month past their due date. There has to be an easy way to replace/refund those damaged goods.
I admit I hate soft cookies of any kind. Always have enjoyed crunchy, crispy, medium thin cookies. Thus, the limited crispy cookies Pepperidge Farm makes is always my brand when in the mood for cookies. However, I only buy them when on reduced sale as I can devour half to entire contents in a very short time. Also I am frugal when it comes to dessert to feel like I am compensating for stuffing myself with excessive calories.
I see why they continuously run out of stock, and I bought three bags on my last purchase. It's hard to describe the taste except to say they are unlike any other cookie I have tried. if you buy it once, I believe you will want to keep them on hand. Namaste'
I had not tried these particular cookies before. I bought them because of the sale that was ongoing at the time of my purchase. These were ordered online and delivered to my home. I opened one package to share with my kids. I quickly noticed that the package was shook up or something. Inside the package the cookies are placed inside thin paper liners. There are several cookies in the liner (similar to the cupcake liner papers for baking) and then that liner holding the cookies is stacked on top of another liner holding a few cookies. I think there were three paper liners total holding the cookies. Inside my package the liners were turned sideways and the cookies had fallen out. Many of the cookies were broken into pieces. Some broken in half, some chipped corners, and some crumbled up into very small pieces. They tasted pretty sweet but not super crazy sweet. I ate one bite before dividing some of it out for the children. Even though they were all busted up the kids still wanted to try them. When I tasted the first bite I thought wow these would have been a nice treat to have along side of my cup of hot tea that I usually enjoy in the afternoon or evening. But, that wasn't going to happen since they were busted up so much. I haven't opened the second package yet. I really hope that package is in better shape than the first one. I'm not sure that I would spend the money to buy these cookies again in the future. If you are considering them I would recommend being careful selecting the package you want. It isn't one of those things you grab and go, and apparently not an item to order online and have delivered by someone who is in a hurry.
