Perky Pet Squirrel Be Gone II Home Style Wild Bird Feeder, 8 lb, Green

I ordered this in both green and red and gifted the green one to my neighbor for her birthday. These both work great since we have a lot of squirrels here!! This morning one finally made it to the feeder but when he landed at the front door it closed. He tried shaking or rocking the feeder and kept looking in the window appearing to confirm there was food in there. The cardinals would land and feed when he was on the roof but every time he got down there the the door closed. Took about 30 min but he finally gave up.

I bought this with the intention of feeding birds, not squirrels. The first day I saw 3 squirrels unsuccesfully attempting to obtain bird seed from the feeder. Try as they could, they were not able to and none of the food spilled out to the ground. This feeder is made of a sturdy steel construction. I would definitely recommend this bird feeder.

My sister loves this feeder. It is a birthday present for her.

Great Bird Feeder that is both stunning and functional

This is the only feeder I have ever tried that the squirrels cannot access. It is very easy to refill, hang, and view the birds enjoying their food. I had one previously & it lasted for years. I would recommend it anyone who has trouble with lots of squirrels.

The day after I put my feeder on the pole, I looked outside and saw it laying on the ground. The Squirrels knocked it off the feeder pole. They didn't get any treats for their efforts. The hanger isn't strong enough to keep it from bending over where the squirrels can get to it I ordered a 10' straight pole that will mount on the bottom of my feeder. It will be 8' high and the squirrels can't get to it. The aping loaded perch works to knock the varmints off it was the hanger I had it on wasn't strong enough. Since I put the feeder out the birds and not the squirrels are enjoying the seed - the squirrels get the seed from the ground and not the feeder

I bought the same one 2 years ago for twice the price and loved it. Went to get another the the construction completely different and quality way down and cheap. I returned it immediately. Go back to the original build.

Attractive design, but 1. Cannot keep the roof on. 2. Metal plate obstructs seed tray. 3. Socket for pole needs to be much deeper.
