Permatex Ultra Blue Silicone Automotive Gasket Maker - 75724

I've always trusted Permatex Gasket Maker for my projects, and it hasn't let me down. It's perfect when you don't have a gasket or just want that extra bit of sealing confidence. Easy to use and holds up great. On top of that, Walmart shipped it out super fast, which was a huge plus. Definitely recommend!

Great stuff! Permatex Blue is an all purpose sealant and gasket maker. I have used Permatex Blue to completely seal a couple of vehicles for friends and family. When you want to do the job right this is the stuff to use. Adheres nicely. Highly recommend to keep on hand.

This review is for the Permatex Ultra Blue Gasket Maker Multi Purpose. Part 81724 comes in 3.35oz metal tube with screw on top. My husband used this to make a new seal/gasket on extendable pole chainsaw. This worked fabulously. Save money and time so you don't have to order the manufacturer gasket. We have cut with the chainsaw a number of times and this has held up well- no foreseen issues. My husbands favorite part is that you can just screw the cap back on and save the rest for a later time. This gasket maker works for temps -65 through +500F. This is sensor safe RTV silicone and meets OEM specs.

This stuff is truly a life saver. I originally got it as its always good to keep in home with a mechanic as a husband. Little did i know i would have a leaking faucet and would be using this to seal it until my repair person was able to come out and replace my pipes. Made sure to dry and sand the area some first. Then i applied and let sit over night. Worked wonderfully.

This is one of few products I've used that produced excellent, long lasting results. I over did it the first time and ended up with a mess. When I used it correctly as directed, I got a perfect, non messy, long lasting seal. Most recently, I used this to seal the connections on my hot tub heater. The stainless steel to PVC connections are neat, leak free and easily handle the heat.

I didn't have to make a full gasket, but only needed to seal four seams prior to installing the new oil pan gasket. I followed the directions and the product worked fine. I've added oil and heat cycled the engine multiple times with no leaks at those seams.

So this is a basic material for making gaskets. Easy to use! First thing is cleaning and drying the area to be used. I did not want anything sticking to the pipe and stopping the gasket material from properly adhering or setting up. Very simple to use, I started by putting a continuous bead of the all purpose blue silicone around the pipe. Immediately while the silicone was still wet I assembled the parts. I did tighten the bolts slightly enough to see silicone seep around the edge and then left it to sit for about an hour. After that hour I came back and tightened the bolts a bit more to where I needed them. I then left this set up to cure for a full 24 hours. The gasket was easy to remove after 24 hours. It formed perfectly and was smooth. This gasket will hold up and will repel oils. This is a must for basic car repairs. I did receive this item in exchange for an honest review!

The Permatex Ultra Blue Gasket Maker is a helpful multi-purpose, sensor safe RTV silicone. My husband needed to seal a water pump and this so far has worked great. He followed the directions to clean and dry the area first. Opening the container was simple and the package comes with the direct application pointed nozzle. The blue color is helpful when applying so he could easily see where it was going. He let it fully cure for 24 hours. After 24 hours it all seemed to be working great. He's happy with the fix and hopes it will last for some time. It's probably good to note that this product is not for head gaskets or any parts that could come into contact with gasoline. The temperature is -65 degrees F to 500 degrees F. I would recommend this product for use with any older car to create a good seal between parts. I'm glad they make a product like this for those wanting to do DIY repairs on older autos that could otherwise cost a fortune to get fixed in the shop. Great product with great results.
