Wow, wish they sold them in single or double packs, as the kitten who found her way to me had bad fleas, I gave her one of these, took care to brush and wash her, and they were gone in a day or two! I’m talking adult fleas, eggs, flea poop or larvae or whatever, she was a stray! I guess these are also used as preventive? I haven’t felt the need to give her anymore after the first dose. Saving the rest for emergencies ( or more strays :)
supper easy to use and the product didn't make my pets ill, usually they would fight me when I would put flea meds on them ,but they didn't, none of them had any issues. yes I'll be using this again.
I HAVE GOT THIS DOWN TO A SCIENCE. I CRUSH THE PILL AND ADD A TAD BIT OF WATER TO BE ABLE TO PUT IT IN A MEDICINE DROPPER. IT IS A WHOLE LOT LESS OF A FIGHT COMPARED TO PUTTING PILL AT THE BACK OF HIS THROAT AND THEY DON'T WANT TO SWALLOW IT. THIS WAY THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CHOICE IN THE MATTER IT IS GOING DOWN THE PIPE. THEY DO GET A BIT CATATONIC (PUN INTENDED)! STONED!!! THEY DO SCRATCH A LOT WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR BECAUSE THE FLEAS ARE TRYING TO LIVE BUT THEY ARE DYING. SOME MIGHT EVEN COME UP TO THE TOP OF THEIR FUR AND YOU CAN JUST KILL THEM IN A SECOND. MY FLEA PROBLEM IS MINIMAL NOW!
My cat loves to relax in the sandy parts of our Florida yard, where fleas live. These tabs almost immediately kill fleas and stop his scratching. I use it along with the same brand topical liquid and they work perfectly together.
Killer of fleas real quick! Give with a few bites of soft food and they have no idea what you did! Fast acting!
Works as well as Capstar and cheaper. Kills the adult fleas on my cats. Wish it worked longer than 24 hours.
Started killing fleas immediately!! Works when nothing else will for an itchy pet!!
Okay, let me start by saying this has worked perfectly for my 3 kitties. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, at a better price than the name brand version. I read the reviews on this and the brand name version, specifically the low rated reviews to get a better idea of what could go wrong. The 2 most common things I saw were reviewers not understanding the medication's purpose and reactions to the medication itself. Thankfully there are no medication reactions to report here, and I had a much better idea of what this medication was designed to actually do. Now, please understand something: CapAction is not a flea preventative medication. This product kills the fleas on your cat for about 24 hours. It does not kill the eggs, only the live fleas. Many of the lower rated reviews come from folks not understanding this product's proper usage (they were expecting it to be a flea preventative). Like any medication, I'm sure the effectiveness wears off closer to the end of the dose. I've had the best results when I use this CapAction combined with a topical flea preventative medication. CapAction kills the currently active fleas, then the topical medication takes care of others as they appear. These are small tablets, so they're pretty easy to administer. 2 of my 3 are an breeze to give them to, and my 3rd still isn't overly difficult. They always get treats after any kind of medicine or similar activity, so that helps somewhat. I do notice a little more activity from all 3 in terms of scratching shortly after administering CapAction. This generally starts about 20-30 minutes after giving the medicine and lasts 4-6 hours before tapering off. This is to be expected because the live fleas on your pet are not happy and they become more active. While this is a great medication for what it's designed for, I will also add that this should only be one step in overall flea control. There are many, many helpful guides out there, so I won't tell you what's readily available for other steps to take. Overall, this CapAction gets a 5 star review from me!
People aren't lying the fleas literally die and fall off your cat within like an hour it's crazy. We thought they only had a few we could find but then.... it started working. I highly suggest having your pet in some sort of enclosed room or area for when it starts to work cause lord they were jumping ship and the cats were scratching like crazy. (They basically bite your pet and then get poisoned almost instantly from what I gather) All the reviews saying they fall off dead are real it's crazy. They only kill ADULT fleas though you still have to use a collar or monthly thing and clean and vacuum like crazy to get rid of even just one egg, but watching all the adults die was SO satisfying. Cannot recommend this enough buy it at the first time you see your cat scratch even once, crush it up, throw it in a churu. Then Fleamageddon will begin shortly. Apparently it leaves the cats system within 24 hours as well so you can give them another dose if more babies were born after you killed all the adults with the first round.
It’s very difficult to give them to her because she spits them out but when we get them in her, it works!
