Perfect size for my 35 lb beagle mix. The airline requires a few inches of head space for the animal to turn around and be comfortable. He is in between this size and the next one down, so I went bigger to be on the safe side. I am glad I did. I have a 1 inch pad in there at the moment, but plan to have a 3 inch one when we fly. The recommended size for him would have been too small.

I used this for my cat to travel overseas. The only issue I had was finding a place to zip tie the door closed. I tried to go through the peg holes but they were too tight and it ended up making it so I couldn't properly shut the door. My cat had plenty of room in her carrier to move around and lay down. The structure held up well for the trip as we had one rough landing and one not as smooth as I would have liked landing.

After planning an animal airline cargo shipping we needed to find a kennel that would be approved. After much research, this was the best quality, size, price we could find in store & online. Great quality materials. It came with all things required by airline: stickers, food/water dishes & no issues at all with airline. Thank you for providing this kennel, we will definitely purchase from PetMate again for animal purchases!

Good quality, bit big for my cats but the transporter said it was the needed size for international travel. At least the cats have lots of room. Its sturdy and secure. The cats are still in flight I will update my review if something broke but they looked really sturdy.

I moved across the country and had to fly my cat from Phoenix AZ to Lexington KY. This crate arrived very quickly and was perfect for flying. It worked perfectly with United Airlines regulations, and was a great size so my cat had plenty of room during her long trip. Very sturdy and not so large that it's hard to carry it store. Definitely recommend.

I'm so thankful after the typical big box company shmamzon (don't think I can say real name) failed to deliver and then charged and cancelled my order I was in a pinch to secure a kennel for my dog and our flight asap! I can't not stress how fast this came and it got him perfectly! Walmart pulled through I'm so happy with the kennel I only need to buy the metal fastener required for it I would definitely recommend other water bowls if buying xl kennel which I have done but it's perfect came fully intact all parts as advertised! Hands down Walmart won me over and saved me and my dog as we move thank you! Walmart cares shmazon doesn't order from Walmart if you actually wanna get it!

This crate will be used to send my pet on an international flight through a pet relocation company. The plastic construction of the crate seems durable and I had no issues putting it together, except for the metal crate door pin that does not seem to align properly with the top hole when I try to close it every time. I have to push the door in a certain way for it to pop into the hole, so it must be misaligned during manufacturing. I can't provide feedback yet as to it durability until after the trip has been made. Just a heads up for first time buyers, when ordering, it is the internal height, length and width of the crate that matters. Initially, I had bought the smaller size crate due to the external measurements and then realized that the internal dimensions were too small for my chihuahua/rat terrier to stand in. I had to return it and order the next size up. Additionally, I also had to factor in the water and food bowls, as they will take some space away lengthwise. This medium size crate is perfect and has enough room for my dog to stand, turn and lay down comfortably even with the food bowls attached to the crate door.

The quality has declined. Crate is thinner and the handle is now connected with plastic instead of screws as previous. You can no longer use the handle to secure with a seatbelt or tether in a car.

well, it took a very long time to arrive, supposedly due to weather conditions and when i had already bought one by the time i got this one since i really needed one. And I'm honestly happy i didn't wait because it came cracked on the side as picture shows. Good thing their customer support refunded me.

If possible, I would not give a rating at all. I don't think the product that was sent should not be in this condition. At least the product should be in the box that was sent from the manufacturer.
