PetSafe Freedom Replacement Flap for Dog and Cat Doors - Large - PAC11-11039

I almost ordered a whole new door but then thought to look and see if the flap could be replaced. So glad I did - it was easy to find out which flap I needed based on the number of screws and so easy to install the old and replace with the new. It first there were a little warping on the side which didn't close fully but as the flap hung it flattened itself out.

I've had the same dog door on our patio for years and needed to replace the flap -- this is a good weight and matches the original product (which is a pleasant surprise since it seems that everybody is doing things cheaper these days). Appreciate getting a replacement that is going to like like the original!

These doors are the best thing ever made for my dogs. I have had my doggie door for over 25 years and replaced the door flap only 3 times. It is very easy to do and they still have the right size flap on hand to provide a replacement for me. Thanks for all your support.

Had to replace my door flapff after many years of good service. One of my dogs runs thru the flap as fast as she can and managed to rip two of the attachment points of the flap. New flap was easy to install and is holding up to my hyper dogs entrances and exits.

Awesome Flaps. My dogs have killed 2 of them already, but they last a good long time with regular use, I have 4 dogs, that's 4 x's the destructive power and it still holds up really well.

I have to admit that I'm not a great DIYer. I really need good instructions! The instructions that came with the replacement door didn't resemble the door set up that's on my porch, so it took me over an hour to figure out how to replace it. I finally did, and it's worth it, but I do wish it was easier.

This is a replacement flap for the PetSafe dog door that is in my storm door. The flap was not difficult to install. However, just a few days later the flap came off of the original screws because the holes in the flap were able to stretch over the heads of the screws as my dog went in and out. The holes did not tear. I fixed it with very thin washers placed between the screws and the flap. Luckily I had some washers to fit. Hopefully this holds. Wish the product came with washers or something surrounding the holes to prevent this from happening. It would be a simple thing for the company to add screws/washers/replacement back holder with the flaps.

We’ve always used this product and been very happy with it. Had a problem with the screw holes tearing a bit shortly after installing which was remedied with the use of washers. This has never happened before. One problem in 25 years of use is not bad.

The flaps do what they are supposed to do, but they are unbelievably difficult to install. I tried for a long time, then hired a professional Handyman. He tried for a long time, then gave up. I hired a second Handyman. He tried for a long time, and finally got it.

Screw holes are bigger so flap slips off the screw heads. Plastic bracket that the screws secure to fell apart so I had to find screws with nuts as well as using washers to secure the flap. Wish I had read the reviews before my purchase so I would have known I needed the separate hardware kit to fix this problem as it is not included with the replacement flap. Also, when the flap came loose while I was at work it let in a bunch of flies in as well as letting in a lot of hot air so my air conditioning could work overtime (think Arizona in the summer).
