I bought the PetSafe Automatic Spray Pet Deterrent to keep my dog out of a few problem areas in the house, and it's been surprisingly effective. Setup was simple — you just insert the spray canister, turn it on, and place it where you want to create a “no-go zone.” What I like most is that it doesn't use any shock or sound. It just releases a quick, harmless puff of air when motion is detected. My dog was startled the first time, but after that he completely avoided the area. It's amazing how quickly he learned. The detection range is good and it doesn't go off randomly, which was something I was worried about. The spray lasts a long time too — we've been using it daily for weeks and it's still going strong. If you're looking for a safe, humane way to keep pets out of certain rooms, near furniture, or around trash cans, this really does the job. I'd definitely buy it again.

I love that it's easy to put together and small enough that it doesn't take up space and doesn't have any smell or scent to it and it helps keeps my cats inside from running out of my bedroom since I love with my sister and they can't be around their big dogs it helps me also to be comfortable to go in and out of my room as well because of it but you do have to be careful about overusing it because it can run out quick so just buy lots of the cans for it that's all😊

it helps my cat to stay out of kitchen and its nothing that would harm him. i do not like the fact that you turn it on it give 2 sprays. the canister onky has a certain amoung of sprays. i hope once the sprays are gone my cat won't have the curiosity to go back into kitchen

I was honestly surprised by how well this works. I got it to keep my cat off the kitchen counters and it only took a couple of times for her to figure it out. The spray is quick and odorless, and it doesn't scare her , it just makes her lose interest and walk away. Setup was simple and I like that I don't have to be around for it to work. It's small enough to move around and doesn't damage anything. Way easier and more effective than trying to constantly correct the behavior myself. If your pet keeps going where they shouldn't, this is a solid solution.

I was unable to have a Christmas tree in 2024 because of a cat who would climb and destroy. I bought the PetSafe SSSCAT and the first puff of air was good for the whole Christmas season. I couldn't believe it worked so well!

I've only had this for about a week, so I can't speak to the battery life yet. It doesn't go off every single time my cat walks by, but when it does, it's a very effective deterrent. After getting sprayed once, they avoid that area for the rest of the day. I tested it on my kitchen counter for two nights (I have a camera so I could watch), and after two of my cats got sprayed, none of them went back up for the next two nights. I moved it to the kitchen table next, and they switched back to the counter — so it's definitely working! I'll be buying another one for better coverage.

Great idea. Kept the cat off my cars- but they only lasted a few days before they stopped working due to being empty or the battery died. Not sure which. But they lasted long enough to teach the cat to stay off!

Didn't even phase one cat, who just looked at the devise with distain. Various other cats walked past the sprayer, it did nothing! Did randomly go off, nothing present to set it off. Currently, just turned the devise off. Thinking of returning it, but not sure I can, being it's an "aerosol." Companies can seem to ship such stuff, but another matter for a private individual.

I bought this last Feb and worked fine for a couple of months, now completely dead. The can is still full and i inserted fresh batteries... nothing. For the money, I would have expected more use from this.
