Philips Personal Security Window and Door Alarm, 4-Pack

I originally thought that it wouldn't work in the way we needed it to but this was really easy to install and I actually got it on clearance unless the original price was $13 I thought that it would've been a hassle having to shut off the alarm every time a door opened %26 didn't realize it had a chime until after installation but the alarm you do have to manually shut it off but it's well worth it, the chimes an added bonus- long battery life we use these on every outside door and window had it for a long long time haven't had to replace batteries once and it's used daily over and over with 3 kiddos %26 for how dangerous the apartment complex that we live in is and operates, this is coming in really handy. It works like any other alarm system, just no subscription and way easier to use.

I'm impressed by the volume or the alarms from such a small device. I can hear it from anywhere in my home. I feel the noise will deter entry by itself, but it's settling to know I'll be aware of any entry or attempts. When my small grandchildren visit me, I'll know if they try to exit as well. The sensor very well-designed. I've had no false alarms or failures to sound as intended to date. Installation was a breeze, and the adhesive is quite strong.

Boy this will scare the heck out of anyone (including yourself!!) Noone trying to open your window will stick around after it goes off, are you kidding-all you will see are the bottom of their sneakers running as fast as they can Lol. I also bring one with me when I go for walks-you can just put it in your hand or pocket if you feel the need for safety. You won't see anyone for miles after this goes off!!

We have a dementia person in our home that will wander away from the house. These alarms are small and do not attract attention when installed high up on the entry doors. The alarms give a VERY VERY loud piercing warning sound when activated by the opening of the door. Easy to install, easy to operate, work very well and are affordably priced. Peace of mind for the caregiver to be warned of a possible walk away ~ especially during the night. I would recommend this affordable device for anyone with the responsibility of caring for an alzheimer/dementia person.

They are awesome for anythine. But I bought them to get my son back for always scaryin me i put 1 ok the refrigerator, pantry, at to top of his closer and going it his bath room. They are so load on the sire part. Thats what I used but it also has a chime you can set also They are awesome and I finally got him back. Worth every penney. no maater what its for... hahaha

yes I do recommend these in today's world they are a bit helpful however when the alarm is activated from the device separating from itself it only goes off for about maybe 2 seconds and then it stops there's no instruction anywhere to be found on how to cause the alarm to sound longer than what it does so if you're sound asleep in the alarm is triggered you're probably not even ever going to hear it or get woke up from it so these are basically useful in the daytime

3 stars Overview: 3 stars because one was defective and you only get 1-2 chances to apply correctly with the adhesive before it no longer sticks. About: I used these on my windows because I came home to my windows being open one day and I don't recall leaving them open. It shall remain a mystery how they were open but I have a 2 year old and I thought it was better to be safe than sorry. Pros: 1. These alarms are EXTREMELY ear-piercingly loud. Which is good if you don't forget to turn them off before opening your windows or door. It will definitely get someone's attention. 2. They fit in a lot of small nooks and crannies. You just have to ensure you adjust it correctly before attaching it with the adhesive it comes with. 3. The alarms come with a tag you need to pull out of the battery area before they will work. I liked this because they don't just start blaring loudly the moment you take them out of the package and turn them on. 4. I like the fact that you can use these on children's doors too. My child is 2 and I don't always hear him wake up. If you have young kids, having an alarm on their bedroom door ensures their safety by waking you up. Cons: 1. One of the alarms did not work at all. Ensure both are working by testing them first. 2. You only have so many chances to apply correctly before the adhesive no longer sticks. So make sure you know exactly which direction to place it on your door or window so it works properly. 3. Can't reliably be used to keep rebellious teenagers indoors. They can easily turn off the alarm and leave. Notes and advice: 1. You could also use this alarm sensor on animal enclosures or doggy doors if you'd like to be informed of your pets escape. 2. I DO NOT recommend using this on food cupboards or refrigerators as a way to control someone's eating. There are exceptions. i.e. medical or safety concerns for the individual you are trying to monitor.

Not the easiest to install in deeper set doors . The 3m strips are useless,and when a piece falls , if it's sets off an alarm ;and won't stop going off until taking a piece off from w door or door window ; and cannot be turned back on as it still goes off. I'm extremely disappointed as a woman dealing with a dangerous DV situation

My experience with these Philips Door/window alarms was extremely frustrating. They are totally unlike the same brand I bought couple years ago. These are not only very difficult to install, they did not sound alarm when door was opened. We called manufacturer and explained the situation--they said they are defective and we should return them. Also--be aware : If you do purchase these, you will need a very tiny screwdriver to just get the battery case opened before you can even start to proceed with all the other ridiculous steps involved in what is a very stupidly designed installation process. What a hassle! Philips brands---never again!
