Physicians Formula Charcoal Detox Cleansing Stick, Charcoal

I have combination skin. I used this product 3 days a week for the fine pore cleansing. It has reduced the size of the pores on my T zone and my black heads are going away. As a cleansing stick it is easy for me to use in a trip. Smell of this stick is really nice I love the light clean scent. The down side of this product is when I used it in the shower, it becomes too wet, grows mushy and started using up a lot of product. But I still would recommend this to try out.

This product was advertised as something that's good for on-the-go, and for the gym, so that's exactly what I did. I have a thing for cleansers that don't require you to wet your face first (eg. oil and sherbet cleansers). This product goes on dry, then uses water to work into a lather. I like that I can be more mindful of applying the product to areas where I may overlook during washing. I would recommend this product to someone who needs an extra push when it comes to washing their face, because it seems so easy to use, even on those days where you're feeling lazy. The design and smell of the product reminded me a lot of deodorant. I liked the ease of application; you just roll the product on your skin. No pumps or lathering required. However, I thought this product was too harsh for sensitive skin. The fragrance was too strong and irritated my skin. I checked the ingredients and it contains sand(!) which is intended for exfoliation. That's way too harsh for facial skin and can cause micro-abrasions in the skin. I also felt that this did not do a great job of cleaning my skin. Overall I would not recommend this product, especially for sensitive skin types.
