Pit Boss 440D2 Deluxe Wood Fired Pellet Grill with Flame Broiler

Shipping was timely. Assembly took maybe 45 minutes. I've used it maybe 30 times since purchase. The only complaint i have is a slight variation on temp between the digital readout on the control board and the dial thermometer on the lid. I also had a hard time getting to the 500° advertised for sear. Overall, i made the switch from an electric smoker that used wood chips and a regular gas grill. This does both and is generally better at both. I'm happy with my purchase

This pit boss was a gift for our employees and they being able to get one of these for cooking outside for their family.

Lacks smoke flavor. Bought a smoke tube to help with that.

Grill itself is awesome. Originally was sent the wrong grill. I ordered this one because it says it's compatible with the WiFi panel so I ordered it and it won't even fit!

It was not built very well. The lid does not fit tight. A part was missing. I called and they sent me the wrong on. Disappointed.

I bought a 4 Year warranty and later found out Pit Boss has a 5 year warranty without the 4 year from Walmart and have been trying to get refund from Walmart for that.

It's too small, barely can cook 1 rack of ribs at a time, It doesn't hold heat like it should. Burns to muck pellets for the time it takes to cook, half bag of pellets to cook for 6 hrs., The larger one I had it would only use a half bag and run 12 hrs.

If the price seems too good to be true, there is probably a reason. Please, just stay away from this one! I had it for 7 months and the power unit went out. Before that, I had an issue with the temperature inaccuracy. The temperature in the barrel is a good 50-60 degrees cooler than what shows on the digital display. Assuming you have issues as I did, the "Tech Support" and "Warranty" are absolutely useless. They will give you the run around for weeks to months and then just ignore you. They will try to say that you didn't answer their questions when you plainly did and it is even in their support cases on their website. I spent 2 hours on hold, only to be cut off and the line went straight to a busy signal. I sent screen shots of my answers to their questions (again, from their website) and have been ignored ever since. Now I'm stuck with a grill in my garage that is just scrap metal at this point.
