For some reason, when I order stuff for customer pickup, there's often something wrong. To save time, I ordered the pellets online for pickup. They brought me a torn bag that was all taped up. Although the price is good, I ended up returning it the next day (when I made time to) and went to INDOOR GARDEN myself, where I personally grabbed, from dozens in stock, an UNTORN BAG of pellets.

Love the taste and aroma from Pit Boss Competition Blend pellets. I get good smoke, and they are an efficient pellet to use. It works great with pork products and jerky. I use this blend with all meat products pork, poultry and beef. My smoker has a 40 lb hopper and this big bag works great for overnight cooks.

I tried these pellets because the price was a little less than I had been paying and it was delivered to my door. at the time I bought it I didn't want to run around town looking for a deal on barbecue pellets. these were definitely harder than the pellets I had been using which is both good and bad they don't burn up as quick but it takes longer to get a good fire going underneath them. like all the pellets it taste like smoke I can't tell the difference between the different kinds of wood when it comes to eating the meat. enjoy!

This is our go-to for our pellet smoker/grill. You can't beat the price! Pellets burn well with little ash. Can't smoke that meat with out it!

I ordered this product as we've been using it for some years. We enjoy the smell of smoked, BBQ, %26 baked snacks w/ these pellets in our smoker-grill. However, the 4 boxes arrived w/ ripped on them. Because of that, 1 of these 40 lbs. bags was ripped %26 pellets laying in the shipping box. Hence, the 3-star rating. Apart from damages during transport, these pellets are great %26 they are a staple in our home. We like them so much that even in 40 degrees Southern weather, we're using our smoker-grill to bake, roast, %26 bbq.

I have a Pit Boss and I have never used their pellets before. These were so bad that they made my smoker ERA out and shut down. In the burn pot it didn't even leave ash it left a pile of what looked like metal. So imagine when you melt down lead to make fishing weights. You have some that spills on the ground in the dirt, that is exactly what it looked like. It had no uniformity at all but wasn't hard it crumble when I put pressure on it. I will never buy that, or any other, from Walmart again. It wasn't Walmarts fault this was on Pit Boss or there manufacture of their pellets. I will stick with my local store. I was out and they close on Sunday so I just need to make sure I plan ahead next time.

BBQ pellet bag was previously severely damaged, although most pellets were still intact and all there, the bag was taped up with duct tape which makes me question the quality of the pellets and how long they've been exposed before the bag was taped up.
