One of many!

Jason March 14, 2021

Let me start off by saying I am serving in the military overseas and I didn't bringing any of my PB smokers with me because I didn't know if I could have or find fuel (pellets) for them. As you may have gathered from above, I have several PB at my house stateside and I use them a lot! I'm very happy to find that Walmart would deliver this PB smoker and certain pellets overseas. After receiving this smoker, it is very compact and portable. At first, I thought I had made a mistake but now that I have used it several times its an excellent smoker especially on the balcony of an apartment ( which is where I currently live). For cooking size comparison (The picture shows a 10 inch plate on the grill.), I cooked a whole 8.5 lb pork butt. And it turned out just as it does on any of my PB smokers. It cooks and holds temperature as good or better than any of my full size PB back stateside. If you are looking for a small portable smoker especially for small spaces this is the one. You can't beat the price. Don't hesitate if you're questioning.

Best bang for you buck

Dale January 19, 2021

I looked at several models of table top pellet smokers and decided on this one because it had the best price to value ratio. It is basically the same as the Country Smoker but, has a larger hopper, for about $10 less. It accomplishes the same thing as the Treager version for about $100 less. It appears to well work well so far and has several nice features. My only complaint is the latches (hasps) on the lid were broken as received. I tried to bend them back into shape but, they still do not latch properly. Something I can fix easily with a trip to the hardware store. Otherwise, it appears to be well constructed. It also came that's a nice canvas cover, which is a nice plus.

Great portable smoker

Whip27 August 27, 2022

Bought a country smoker a couple years ago for smoking when RV’ing - great little smoker. I have smoked steaks, burgers, shrimp, crab legs, scallops and lobster claws. The pitt boss 150 is basically the same exact smoker but with a couple more upgraded features - better display, handles , bigger hopper and a copper lid. The handles were a huge upgrade in my opinion as it is a heavy little smoker, not as heavy as traeger thank goodness. The cover is great as my old country smoker did not come with one. Little disappointed the clips for the lid are the standard silver clips not the black pitt boss clips as in the picture. Overall a great smoker for camping and places where you can not have charcoal grills.

Just what I needed

Lowell December 22, 2020

This was my first pellet grill and I love it. Portable but just the right size for a family. Easy to assemble and looks great. Smoked my first pork butt and it came out perfect. Smoked for 7 hours at 250 degrees and only used half the hopper of pellets. Easy to store inside to protect from weather.

Pretty Awesome Little Smoker!

SB February 6, 2022

I've been loyal to the Traeger Brand for a long time so I wasn't expecting much from this little smoker. I wanted it for occasional off-grid cooking so I decided to go cheap and this turned out to be a great value. I was unsure of the capacity of a cheap auto battery and 400 watt inverter, but the first test run went for over an hour with no signs of stopping. For the second test I put it on a meter and it pulls 200 watts for the first five minutes (during hot rod ignition) then drops to 8 watts for the fan and occasionally jumps up to 58 watts when the auger adds pellets. It looks like this little battery setup could last all day on one charge. Definitely worth it if the cooking area is big enough for you!

I couldn't resist.

G September 2, 2023

I couldn't resist. I had been eyeballing the Pit Boss Copper Table Top Pellet Smoker for a while. Then I saw it was on sale during Walmart's version of Prime Day. And I jumped on it. I am completely satisfied with my purchase. No regrets whatsoever. It was an incredible price. And an amazing product.

Great for RV camping

Frank May 10, 2021

I purchased this to replace a slightly larger smoker that was just too bulky and temperamental for use for our rv camping trips. This fits the bill nicely. It will easily cook several pieces of chicken, a rack of ribs, and even a medium sized pork shoulder. It heats up fast and holds its temperature consistently. Clean up is a breeze. I love the thing overall. My only criticism is that I wish it came with handles on the sides. It is a bit cumbersome to pick from the bottom. Pit Boss website says that the Walmart version of this is the only one with a 7 pound hopper, but mine has a 5 pounder just like everywhere else that sells them. It's plenty big enough to get through most cooks without refilling.

No quality control

tavis February 12, 2021

I havent had a chance to use it as of yet but I do have the larger pellet. But I am very disappointed with the construction of this product, I dont know if they have a quality assurance department but they didnt inspect this before it was boxed. The glue was sloppily place on the seals and the velvet seal was not even glued down. And its just too much work to mail such a big item all the way back.

This item was obviously a returned item passed along to the next buyer. It was packaged poorly and was missing a leg. When we called for a replacement we were on the phone for over an hour and was told it could take months to get a replacement…. We finally took back to Walmart and exchanged for a new one. The new item….although exactly the same….was much better made..better latches and the packaging was much better…proving that what we got in the mail was a complete mess.

Nearly caused an emergency call.

John June 30, 2023

Bought brand new for my dad for Father's day. Almost burnt to a crisp if we weren't sitting there. We fired it up for first time to season it. Did exactly what instructions told us to do. Temperature never went over 130° but I told my dad it's got to be hotter then that next thing you know the paint is melting off the top. I unplugged it and the pellet container almost caught on fire. Definitely a bad thermostat in this product that nearly created a huge problem. Got the 3 year warranty through Walmart. Let's see how they handle this. By the way I have a pit boss smoker and grill, so I know hiw to use their products. No excuses on this one.
