Planet Earth III (4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray)

The 4K image here is absolutely stunning. It's beautiful work. Decided to try this after streaming a few episodes. The difference in quality is staggering. The disc is so much cleaner and more vibrant. I am watching on an LG G OLED for reference.

Planet Earth III continues in the latest set of adventures in the series. Picture is absolutely stunning in 4k. The discs are housed in a Blu-Ray case, not the black ones used for 4k however. The best surprise is a Dolby Atmos track that is not mentioned in any reviews or package descriptions. You need to access the audio menu and manually select it, or it will default to the DTS 5.1 audio track.

Like others mentioned it arrived in the wrong case. I had a 4k disc that wasn't playing, but support was extremely helpful. My main complaint is the content itself. I've waited and checked monthly for updated on planet earth 3 for over 4 years. And overall I'm very disappointed with this newest look at our earth. WAY TO MANY Humans. I don't but this for humans. I want to look at the incredible animals and environments in glorious 4K. So much waisted time through the whole show this time.

The packaging is not as pictured in the listing presently. The case, as shipped, is transparent blue (as of a standard blu-ray), not the black standard for UHD cases, and for the other entries in the 2160p trilogy…nor indeed for any of the other 4K BBC NHU productions. Another curiosity is that the blu-ray discs are in the front and the UHDs are presented at the back of the case. As you can see, the cover insert on my copy is also a wavy mess. The story is the typical for D. A. over the past 30 years—the barest scientific pretense to expound his gospel of misanthropy for most of the human race. The images are strong, creative, and well-filmed by talented videographers; it's just a disappointment that the incredible animals are let down time and again in the series by Attenbourough's agitprop.

the plastic box was shattered at the top and paper slece was torn. the websitw marked down the price but I wasn't discounted correctly.
