Quality grow medium at a fair price. Imagine that these days! The company has a lot of great products for gardening. Everything that I have used from them has been quality and does exactly what it says.
Put it in a wheelbarrow with water, and overnight, it will be light and fluffy, with small particels of coir - not like other brands which would continue to be in fibrous chunks and layers after adding water. I spread black plastic, then dumped the coir there - then mixed a 3Coir:2Compost:1Perlite mixture for potting soil (with a small amount of amendments like earthworm castings, and some nutrient fertilizer. Better that "box store" potting soil.
I began my business with Plantonix. I have tried cheaper and I have tried different companies. I will say from personal actual experience that this product from Plantonix is a step above many other products of this nature. It doesn't break down like a cheap stuff does. Very pleased and I will never buy any other brand.
An excellent product to hydrate and use in your compost/planting mix. Good price and delivered in good condition. Thank you.
I loved that it was fluffy and absorbent after adding the water. It went a long way for my plants and maintains moisture well.
Does well with my bean plants.
Best texture of coir among the brands
Good value. If you need a little at a time you will need to cut it or break it apart as it comes in one block. I have had bricks of coco coir, but at much higher prices.
First, really nice quality. Placed the block in a bin and added 4 gallons of 100° water. The next morning it was perfect. My complaint is this is NOT a 10lbs block. I have 3 of these. Two are 8.5lbs and one is 8.4lbs. That's a clear ripoff of the customer. Think of how many “10lbs” blocks they sell and how much profit that is for the company. Tell me it's an X by X by X block for $XX and not in lbs and I'd have no issue.
Put it in only one planter to see how well it does. Everything that gets planed in the planter with it in it dies. All my other plants are doing fine. The only planter that things are dying in is the one with this product. I would like my money back. I do not recommend this product at all. I have lost money on the plants I bought, seeds I tried to start in it and the product itself.
