PLCM18BC Vehicle Camera

It's a very good camera for this price. I like the adjustable head so that I'm able to see even my bumper for a clean parking.

Great camera! Works we'll with the Pyle 3.5 monitor.

Very nice, no complaints. Video wire reached to the front of my Trans Am perfectly. Connected power cable the reverse light bulb wire going into tail light so that the camera only gets power when in reverse. Also connected rear camera wire front back of my radio to same reverse light bulb wire so radio knows when shifted into reverse. Works perfectly. Very good vision even at night. I did need to use tin snips to snip part of the metal mounting bracket off so it doesn't obscure my registration sticker, no big deal at all though.

This works just fine for the money. Only recommendation is to watch out for the RCA cabling length. I have a 2006 Pathfinder a d the cabling is a bit short.

Camera works fine. The only downside it's the length of the cables. If you have a larger vehicle you will need an extra video cable and adapter to connect to the original cable. Also the camera didn't come with the wire to connect to the head unit so it automatically comes on when the vehicle is in reverse.

Bought this as part of a stereo kit - I am pretty experienced with vehicle installations/modifications so install time was fairly quick - the bulk of the time was removing trim panels to fish wires from the back of the stereo to the camera at rear of vehicle. The instructions don't mention the little orange wire that is attached to the RCA wire, so I didn't know what it was and left it unhooked. Later I figured out that it should be attached to the power (12v +) on the reverse lights and the opposite end attached to the stereo so I had to go back and do that. Pros: Simple to install - hook up to power source for reverse lights on car, attach RCA plug. Camera is pretty clear most of the time. Angle adjusts up and down (but not side to side) to help accommodate different height installs. Has the "distance" lines in the display to help guide you. Cons: Installation instructions poor at best - if you aren't familiar with installing things in a car you will need help. Some conditions (rain, darkness) the camera isn't good enough view to be useful. The size of the bracket that attaches to the license plate is pretty big and covers part of the license plate such that in some states you might get a ticket. Overall I'd say bang for the buck this is a great deal. If you are looking for a rear view "backup" camera for your car and already have a stereo that will accept this (or have another option for viewing) I think this is a good option.

This appears to be same camera as Pyle universal rear mount that I have rated so it is excellent camera with good specs. The problem is that the license plate mount is so wide that it blocks the month and year stickers required on the top of the license plate in a lot of states. The instruction manual is a disgrace and near worthless since it does not tell you much about mounting or the camera features such as the distance lines or the ways to vertically and horizontally center the camera, if in fact you could do this from a fixed license plate mount. Overall, I rate this package less than the universal mount because there is no flexibility with the license plate mount, although it may be all you want.

Bought this to add as a second camera to my system. It looks identical to the original camera that came with my system. However it isn't the picture is way more washed out and seams lower quality. Also the distance lines are only green, where as the original started green far away and then yellow and lastly red. Might be a small thing but bugs me. Since I will only use this when pulling my work trailer I can live with it. However be aware that looks can be deceptive

I had a professional stereo shop install the camera for me....it lasted two weeks!! At first it would come on only sometimes and then it came on on black & white only
