Solved my Problem
We purchased a used van and the prior owner had removed the factory radio and installed his own. The radio wouldn't receive anything except very close and powerful radio stations. When we pulled the radio from the dash we noticed the prior owner had used lots of electrical tape to try and attach the radio to the antenna. We realized it needed an adapter and did some investigation. This was exactly what we needed and now have great radio signal.

Works on newer Fords too
This adapters works for most tri-ax and quad radio antennas whether they be newer Chrysler or Ford. Fits perfectly in newer F-150's. Build quality is OK. It also extends the antenna cable far enough to reach after-market radios with the antenna connector on the left side of the unit.
