For my Jeep, these adapters really weren't needed. I bought 6.5 inch boss speakers and could have installed then without the adapters. However, the adapters gave a nice cushion between the metal of the speaker and the metal of the door. Having them insatalled with the speakers insures I won't hear any rattling and that the srews will remain secure and snug. If you try to mount speakers with out them, you'll be more likely to strip screws out or have them vibrate loose at some point. The adapters are plastic and in my case, I had to cut out the inner tabs so my speakers would fit right, but it was easy to accomplish. For the price, I would recommend getting these for ease of installation and no chance of rattling from vibration.

Basically just two pieces of plastic, but they made installing the front speakers in my 2001 Neon much easier. Fit was good. No complaints.

None of the holes in the adapter lined up with the existing holes in my door. Since I was anxious to get the job done, I returned it before hearing from the seller. Because it did not fit my application doesn't mean it won't work for others.

The three screw locations don't match Camry 99. Maybe need to drill holes.

I bought these to install front door speakers in a Chrysler Pacifica. The tabs line up but are a bit large for the opening so I had to trim them slightly to fit. At first the plastic seems flimsy and if you are installing 6.5" speakers you have to try to break off the 5.25" tabs without breaking the adapter in half - not an easy task unless you have pliers and a steady hand. Don't screw them in too tight or you will crack them. Maybe these fit other cars better, but they are the only real solution out there unless you decide to chop up the original speakers to make an adapter for aftermarket ones. And do not forget Dynamat or some kind of insulator - otherwise you will get rattling at high volume.

I have a 2000 Chrysler Concorde that I bought a pair of Scosche 6.5"-6.75" speakers for the front doors and Scosche speakers 9X6" for the rear shelf. I need to make the three stock speaker holes work with Scosche's four speaker holes, so I purchased this adapter because Scosche's website said it would fit my car. I purchased it through Walmart and picked it up from the store. When I got back to my house, I opened the package and saw the adapters. One adapter was broken in the box and neither of the adapters fit my car. To resolve this issue, I tore the stock speakers (they still worked) apart and cut them to work as the plastic adapters that I purchased. That is something I thought about doing, but I didn't want to do that because the stock speakers still worked and I was going to put the stock speakers back in if/when I sell the car. Anyways the adapter didn't work as they were supposed to work, so I improvised and made my own adapters.
