Excellent machine

Amy November 18, 2024

YES!! Excellent replacement, much faster than my Farberware, lots of power, nice and hot, huge water reservoir, thick foam, super easy to use, and its in a nice, heavy, compact machine. Comes w 3 portafilters, removable drip tray , and tamper, so EXCELLENT!!

Excellent Espresso Coffee Maker

Esther November 11, 2025

I am so happy with my product. The operation is easy to use, and the espresso is fantastic; the coffee comes out super delicious and frothy. (Everything depends on the quality of the coffee you are using; I love Italian, Peruvian, and Colombian coffee.) The steamed milk works perfectly, making your final coffee hot and more frothy. The espresso maker is compact in size and very lightweight. The water pot is more than enough; the funnel handle and stainless steel mesh filter ensure your coffee pours with a good flavor (just be sure to press and tamp your coffee before brewing). I recommend cleaning your system (milk wand and funnel) with water only multiple times before making your first cup of coffee. I did it many times, and later I received a good flavor of your coffee. Additionally, I use a coffee paper filter with my espresso coffee maker because it protects the system and enhances the taste of the coffee. I decided to try making coffee many times until I learned the exact amount of coffee for a single or double mesh, as everything depends on your taste. Now I am making a different kind of espresso for my husband and my palate, with the same espresso coffee maker. I recommend this product; the machine is worth the price.

Makes great espresso from home!

MamaMiaReno January 27, 2026

Excellent espresso! Saves tons of $ by making at home %26 not leave the house to wait in line for a good cup of coffee. The only problem I have is water comes out of the frother at first when the dial is turned to use that function. Going to contact the company to see if that is normal or defective.

Button stuck cant use the machine

Veronica December 28, 2025

I've always wanted an Espresso machine but they're expensive, now I know why, quality costs... I had issues with the pressured water spitting out the seal when running it. I even tried less grounds in the brew cup but it still did it. That wasnt totally off putting, just irritating. I returned it when the coffee brew button stuck in the brew fill on position and cant stop the filling of the cup without turning the unit off which then I cant use the froth tube to cream my coffee.

Leaks a lot

Kathryn January 25, 2026

This espresso machine is not intuitive to set up. Once I got setup figured out, it worked decently off and on for the first few weeks of use. Sometimes it leaked around the portafilter, sometimes it didn't. I learned that the seal has to be perfectly clean in order to function correctly. After about a month of use, the housing around the portafilter began to leak. No amount of cleaning can fix it. For the $80 I paid for it, it is a decent machine, but I don't think I'd purchase again knowing the issues I'm having with it.

This thing stinks

John November 26, 2025

It's not worth the money at all. Don't get me wrong I'm no barista, but I'd like to think I know how to use an espresso machine. It pulls inconsistent shots of coffee even when all variables are the same. The milk steamer sucks butt. Not enough pressure to create a whirlpool, and it gives the milk a funny oil taste. Just all around a cheaply made machine. Save your money and get a breville.

Starts Off Great, But Fails Too Soon

anonymous August 26, 2025

At first, the Chef Plum Coffee Espresso Machine worked perfectly. The design is sleek, the brewing process is smooth, and the espresso tasted great — exactly what I was looking for in a home machine. Unfortunately, after a short period of regular use, the machine completely stopped working. No warning, no error codes — it just wouldn't turn on. I reached out to customer service, not looking for a refund but simply hoping for an exchange, and was disappointed to find out they couldn't help me at all. It's frustrating to invest in a product that shows promise but doesn't last, and even more disappointing when the company doesn't stand behind their product to make things right. If durability and reliable support are important to you, I'd suggest exploring other brands until Chef Plum improves their quality control and customer service.

Ordered this Espresso Machine on Black Friday, super sweet deal. On 12/2 I received a message my delivery had been cancelled and money refunded. Didn't offer a new delivery or product. Very disappointed and frustrated as this was a Christmas present. Contacted Walmart customer service and got a 10.00 e-gift card!? What's that going to do? I wanted the product.

The machine comes with tips and care information on stickers that are apparently gorilla glued to the side and front of the machine. I'm 2 freaking hours in with hot water and a bottle of goo gone and still can't get them off the machine. I'd personally like to punch the person responsible for this, in the head.
