The game has been enjoyable. It feels like you can accomplish more tasks in a reasonable timeframe compared to other popular cozy games. It's been fun interacting with the Pokémon and building up habitats for each species you come across in the world.
If you like games like Stardew valley, cult of the lamb, and animal crossing you will enjoy this game. It brings the world building aspects of those games and the cuteness of Pokemon to create this goofy little masterpiece. It's based on real time if that bothers you but the game has a way of balancing your impatience later on. If you are looking for stunning 4k cinematic visuals go somewhere else this does not have that at all. In its place is a solid although child like its well rounded like obviously it was meant to appeal to younger audiences as well but it doesn't have that “only kids will play this so go meh on the graphics” feel. This game just screams comfort corner. Maybe even the future of cottage core gaming haha just kidding… or am I?
This is really a great game for anyone. You don't have to know anything about pokemon to play and enjoy this game. I will br honest, I wasn't to going to get it when I first hear it announced, after watching some gameplay of it I was sold and had to have it. There are things you may get stumped on but if you just play through the game/story i'm sure you will figure it out, maybe put the game down and come back to it, you might figure it out then.
It’s pricey, as most Nintendo products are, but this one does deliver. This game is fantastic, as an adult I like it a lot and the kiddo adores it. If you like pokemon an animal crossing this is a no brainer - you’ll like it if your willing to spend the money. But 70 is still a lot…
Oemgeee! This game is so fun! It’s super cute and I love reading the new characters that they’ve introduced in the game! I highly recommend it for somebody who is a beginner Pokémon fan, a veteran, Pokémon fan, and even people who don’t like Pokémon. It’s like animal crossing and so many ways but better!
This game is very fun and I’m not even a Pokémon fan. This is actually my first Pokémon game. I’ve never even played animal crossing. Highly recommended
Order arrived quick. We've really enjoyed the game. Very cozy %26 perfect for many Pokémon fans. We were a bit skeptical at first, but the game is well made with lots to do %26 discover. Love the overall vibe. My 13 y/o didn't want to stop playing when they started! if you like Pokémon %26 creative world games, you can't go wrong with Pokopia!
Im 20 hours in and its a blast and runs like a dream. I find myself in a loop of looking for new things and improving the area around around me. Out of the latest pokemon games this one hits perfect for some reason. Didn't think it would mesh well with the builder genre but its the perfect fit.
Very fun game if you’re into cozy Animal Crossing type games. It’s a fun spin on Pokemon. Controls well, runs at 60fps, and the music is calming. I do find it odd that every Pokemon is referred to as “they” or “them” even if it’s just one Pokemon. But I think it’s more of a localization thing on the American side. Overall good game. Wish it wasn’t a Key Card though.
The actual game is not on the card. Should I have known this ahead of time? Maybe. But forgive me for relying on my 30 years of experience with cartridges THAT HAVE THE ACTUAL GAME. The day will come when Nintendo SHUTS DOWN the servers and this $70 card will be useless. You may as well subscribe to adobe as buy this card.
