Low loft batting is my favorite for all the baby quilts I make. Living in a warmer climate, my quilts can be used longer because they are light weight, pack smaller so they are easier to carry with the baby. I usually do a light quilting around the theme of the quilts so it is spaced farther apart than most designs would be. I have never had a batting shift and it holds its shape just great!
I used this batting to cushion a DIY window cornice. The results were exquisite. I secured the batting with an overlay made from a sheet and stapled both to my lumber. The batting added just the right amount of plumpness to soften edges. It was my very first time using batting, and I am pleased with how easy it was to work with, and with the professional results. Would definitely buy again.
It works great for blankets/quilts. Here is part of my final project. It keeps you nice and warm.
I use this for making pet beds for stuffing my pet beds and I actually also use it as an outer box filter over my pond pump filter and I love this stuff. I I have purchased it numerous times and will continue to purchase it for many many more numerous times.
I wanted low loft to make quilts to ship to Africa so they wouldn't be too thick, heavy or bulky so I like the thickness. I didn't think it was too thin or flimsy as some reviewers thought. Seems sturdy to me
My mom is a huge quilter and is always having me look for deals. While I usually buy this at Joann Fabrics when it's on sale, I found this at half price! Hooray as she gets large quantities at at time...and it was delivered to her front door! (She lives in a remote area in the country).
I sew 40"x60" lap quilts to donate to Project Linus. This batting, cut in half, makes 2 lap quilts. The price is the best I've found, so it's a good value for a donation. But the thickness is uneven--some areas are thicker than others. So I wouldn't use it for an heirloom quilt.
made a seat cushion with this for an outside loveseat. even with it being folded over several times its as if there is no cushion at all.
this is such a bad product, this is suppsoed to be evenly distributed for a blanket? there are multiple of these massive holes straight out of the package. luckily I had planned to cut this for scrap pieces, because if I were actually making a blanket as this product is intended, the recipient would freeze to death. highly recommend buying another brand elsewhere.
this batting did notnhold up at all. i made a baby quilt, securing the entire perimeter of the batting into the binding then tacking it throughout the quilt at 8 inch intervals. i washed the finished product one time on regular wash and when I removed the quilt the batting was in shreds inside. ruined the quilt and i had to take it apart to replace the batting with something, anything besides this. couldnt be more dissatisfied. ive included a picture of the products condition upon removal of my quilts binding and tacking. mind you, this was after one 9 minute wash not even on a heavy-duty cycle.
