Prepac Monterey White Full/Queen Bookcase Headboard

OK, I'll put together furniture, seems to have an issue. Overall, the quality of this headboard is very good. For the back of the headboard, it should be marked. Weird the nails should be inserted. Other than that we are very happy with our purchase.

Love it! It was packaged really well...but there was a small area damaged. It is not noticeable. I started putting it together with my mini driver - which worked great, until I got to the screws that go underneath the main shelf - you need a more powerful drill for that. If you install on a high pile carpet be sure to lift before tightening together pieces or it will catch the carpet. I got everything done except the top part & put the bottom piece near where it was going - it was heavy but doable. I then got behind it & added the heavy top part. It was iffy adding the backing by myself - you have to hold it w/ your knee while hammering in the tiny nails - but I got it. Lastly - watch the placement of the main shelf - it looked right on the floor but one side of the thin edge is white & the other is unfinished. After I noticed I put it on backwards I grabbed some acrylic paint & painted it. Sounds like a disaster but it wasn't bad - and the headboard looks great! Lot's of shelf space & high enough to make a statement.

This headboard has exceeded my expectations. It was easy to put together and very sturdy. I really like that our CPAP machines can be hidden. We have been using it for about four months and love it!

I've come to truly believe that you get what you pay for. I consider a queen headboard for less than $200 a pretty good deal and didn't expect fine furniture. Nevertheless, there were more snags than I wanted to encounter. First, my expected delivery date was delayed a few days. When the box arrived, I unpacked it piece by piece, checking against the pamphlet to make sure I had all the pieces. So now I have 13 pieces of a queen-sized headboard all over the bedroom floor, and I'm noticing some tiny imperfections, but nothing I cant live with, until I get to one medium-sized piece that obviously slipped out of place on the conveyor belt. I am stuck at Step 3 (of 13) until Prepac can get me a replacement part, which will take about 10 days! Very frustrating!!! I try hiding pieces under the bed for a week-and-a-half so I don't fall over them and nick them up any further. Once I had all the correct pieces, assembly was relatively easy; had to figure a few things out using common sense, but no major hurdles and no mistakes or re-dos. I am a 57-year-old female and I didn't require any assistance. My box spring and mattress are relatively low, and yet with a pillow or two, you cant see as much of the headboard as pictured in the ad. I thought the cubby holes would be quite useful, but it turns out they are not as accessible as pictured. In hindsight, it would have been nice to have access through the back for an electrical cord or two. Overall it's better than nothing; not bad, but not great. May be just fine for some, but I tend to be a picky perfectionist.

while the product arrived and was packed very well, the headboard was absent any assembly instructions and showed many blemishes in the faux finish. backing board was in two sections taped together instead of one single piece. this latter design problem will eventually have tape failure and an observable flaw when assembled.

After pulling the headboard out of the box I began putting it together. Excited to see the finished product I proped it up. Right away I noticed that two of the plastic pieces pushed through the top of the headboard. Now the hole thing is worthless. I would be the first to say that it was my fault however I was as gentle as could be and it still occurred. I wouldnt trust any products from this company again.

the holes in the top were on the wrong side. unfinished side is facing us.

Did not match the picture. Shelves were supposed to be black but are wood coloring.

Peace's was damaged no labels on any of the boards one board was broken foot prints in box when opened not a good deal and can't return becuse of all the peace's
