Large package of colored pencils

lorik120_8074 August 26, 2025

I absolutely love these colored pencils. They come in a very nice package that are positioned in a colored manner. The pigment is very bright and they are very durable. I love coloring with these to blend colors. I would recommend these to anyone that loves to color.

I absolutely love this Prismacolor set! The colors are super vibrant, smooth, and easy to blend together. There's such a wide variety of shades that make every project fun, and the pencils hold up well without constant breaking. Definitely worth it for anyone who enjoys coloring or creating art of all kinds!

🌈 Prismacolor Premier PC1150 Colored Pencils Revi

meaganh032e_514 July 22, 2025

1. Blendability These pencils are famous for their creamy core, which makes them incredibly easy to layer and blend. Whether you're smooth‑blending with a colorless blender or burnishing with light layers, you get lush gradients and seamless transitions—ideal for realistic textures or soft pastels. 2. Pigmentation Each pencil delivers vibrant, richly saturated color with a single stroke. The wax-based core is highly pigmented, so even the darker tones (navy, burgundy, forest green) lay down with full opacity. Because the pigment is so concentrated, lighter colors—like flesh tones and pastel shades—are also vivid and true. 3. Durability The Prismacolor Premier line is sturdy and resilient. The pencil barrel is lacquered, the wood casing is strong, and the cores hold up well even with vigorous sharpening. They resist breakage during normal use and give smooth, continuous coverage without core crumble. 4. Variety With 150 shades in the PC1150 set, users have an extensive palette. You get a full spectrum—from skin tones and realistic tones to vibrant neons and jewel shades—plus specialty neutrals. It's perfect for artists working in portraits, landscapes, fantasy art, or mandalas. 5. Packaging The pencils come in a sturdy tin or magnet‑closure box (depending on the edition), with each pencil individually labeled. The tin is compact yet protective—great for studio storage or travel. The interior tray is removable, which makes organization and storage very convenient.

My most favorite pencils

kendall13_2168 September 15, 2025

These are my go to pencils, I've bought this same case for the last ten years. This is my favorite medium to use and these pencils blend the best. You can also find them singularly in most art supply stores, which is nice when you run out of just one color faster than the other. The colors are bright and so pretty.

As Good as Faber-Castell

edent061124_1363 September 15, 2025

luse Faber-Castell, Prismacolor, Derwent and Blick colored pencils. I have no hesitation in declaring that I prefer the Crayola pencils over the Derwent /Prismacolor pencils because 1) Crayola pencils dont "drop powder" during use, and, 2) I can sharpen them easily and get the "blunt" out of the lead without losing the lead itself. The pigment is strong, the lay down is even, and I can exert an enormous amount of color in one section before I experience waxing. The cost of these pencils, and their quality, is outstanding. I wish Crayola Company would go toe-to-toe with the big guys in the colored pencil field and create a collection of 150 different pencils at a cost comperable to their 50 ct collection; I think they could make an enormous dent in the profits of companies like Prismacolor, Derwent, etc. You wont regret getting these pencils, I guarantee you.

I loved these for my coloring books, I know everyone says that money invested into products doesn't always mean better results but that's not the case with these pencils. I loved how easily they blend and how smooth the color build is with these pencils. The package makes its great for traveling and storing.

My favorite colored pencils!

rylanr7_8341 September 24, 2025

These pencils are my favorite! I've been using these for a while now and the color they give off is so smooth. They are very durable and don't snap easily! I really enjoy all of the different variety of colors as I get in detail with my drawings. This is a great product!

Worth the cost!

lisam1603_4130 September 25, 2025

Prismacolor seems expensive but it's one place to splurge if you enjoy coloring even occasionally. You will never go back to coloring with crayons or another brand again. There are so many colors and they blend to make more. If you happen to use one pencil excessively they sell replacements individually. The pencils sharpen clean without breaking so there is less waste there. They just really are the best. I've had my set for years which is why the package is different but the quality remains.

smooth blending, expressive layering, and a wide p

geetab6_407 October 16, 2025

If your priority is smooth blending, expressive layering, and a wide palette, this set is often regarded as one of the better mainstream artist-grade colored pencil options. But it demands a gentle hand: press too hard or sharpen roughly, and you risk breakage or inconsistency. For archival or display work where fade-resistance is critical, you might want to check how lightfast the specific colors you'll use are (or consider using a “lightfast only” line).
