Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils, Manga Colors, 23 Count

the colors are beautiful and I love these pencils!

If you have Prismacolor Premier pencils then you know how lovely they are to use. Vibrant colors with a smooth buttery feel as you put them on paper. This 23 count set was purchased to expand my travel set of 24 colors.

These color pencils are amazing, if you have the extra cash I highly recommend getting them. They color so smoothly and you can even blend them together easily. You barely have to use any pressure especially when you are trying to fade from one color to another. They are lightweight and can be sharpened to a fine tip which makes it easy for more complex artwork.

These pencils are so buttery smooth, the colors are saturated, are easily blendable and can be layered easily! The white pencil also can be used and shows on top of other pencils, alcohol markers, etc. They may be a bit more expensive than "normal" colored pencils but well worth the investment!!!

Prismacolor are hands down the best. They are soft, blendable, and have such vibrant colors. They fit into colored pencil extenders perfectly so you can use every last bit! They sharpen well.

I love this brand but was very disappointed in the quality this time. I own other prismacolor colored pencils and have never had them break so easily. A few broke just by sharpening them. Others broke as I tried using them. There were two that ended up being sharpened nearly half way before they quit breaking. The colors are beautiful and brilliant. I can't say they all were easy to use because of the breakage.

I do not like the Verithin pencils and there are 5 of them in this pack. The regular Prisma Premiers are, of course, very nice and soft. However, this is my first time using Premiers and I have to say that I actually prefer Prisma's Scholar line. These pencils wear down fast and do not sharpen well in the Faber pencil sharpener that I use for all my other pencils.

The pencils are well pigmented but not without issues. If you can get these on heavy discount, do it. Just be aware that some cores maybe quite brittle. Note, I bought a brand new Prismacolor sharpener specifically for this set. The Verithin 747 Black was impossible to sharpen successfully until almost nothing was left. The PC917 Sunburst Yellow also had breakage issues, but not nearly as bad (yet?). None of the other colors have had issues so far. The pencil packaging is complete garbage and may be a contributing factor to the core issues. These are good pencils, but honestly I prefer my HIFORNY Black Edition set much better overall.
