Prismacolor Artist Grade Colored Pencil Tin, was a purchase for an adult. The 24 colors are more than enough to color many different skin tones. Layering colors was perfect and blending the colors was also easy. There is never any problem with the cores breaking; pencils sharpen like a dream! The Prismacolor brand is %231 and I would recommend this set; it's the best choice you can make.

As an artist, Prismacolor colored pencils are definitely the best choice for me! Despite not being the highest rated in the art community, they are my personal favorite because they blend super smoothly and have a soft and smooth feeling against the paper without having an annoying clearly colored pencil texture. They are worth every penny and I would recommend them to any artist wanting to use colored pencils as a medium! I just bought some for my mother recently and she absolutely loved them!

I own the full complement of prisma colors, and while I convinced my family to invest in the 72 size in tin,it wasn"t at all as vibrant as the ad on t.v. these are portraiture colors I got a set for much ,much less online and am just as happy with the colors and blendability. for much less money. you decide on the hype or the real use and cost!

They weren't as smooth as I had hoped, but with a lot of effort I can get smooth coloring out of them.

Purchased this as a gift and specifically avoided purchasing any extra sharpeners or erasers along with it as the product details state they are included. They were not.

I can't rate them because apparently I purchased the wrong set and as a gift. I was informed this set focuses on drawing facial portraits, not coloring books. I'm sure it was a good set, as I've purchased Prismacolor before, but I can't guarantee it.

I will be returning this item. The description and pictures are misleading. I thought I was purchasing a range of colors not a neutral skin tone set. I had no way of knowing any different until after it was delivered. It is really frustrating because I paid extra to have it delivered quickly for a reason and now I will have to go to the store myself to return it and purchase the correct set. I can not comment on quality because I will be returning them and buying the correct colors.
