Prismacolor, SAN14420, Ebony Sketching Pencil, 1 Dozen, Matte Black Barrel

These particular pencils definitely measure up to the manufacturer's tonal claims, and were very useful for producing one of the rug designs in my "Parking Lot" collection, about 2022. It was also good to find the twelve- pack, this time!

Thinner than a standard pencil. Core is thick. Manual sharpening results in a nice wood ribbon and a very nice long point. Writes nice and smooth with some good auditory feedback. I'm using it as a writing pencil, but I'd imagine it would be a great sketcher. No eraser, but using a Mr. Pen 4B rubber block eraser left only a faint shadow. I'll be buying more of this pencil again!

prismacolor is an amazing brand in general. Bought these pencils in place of black colored pencils for half the price and they work great.

I do a lot of drawing and black pencils are so the ones that go out and I was happy to find that I can get a box of black pencils and they're working great they have a really solid black color and I use them a lot.

These are the best drawing/sketching pencils, especially for beginner drawing students.

I have been a fan of Prismacolor products for a long time, and I am happy with this set. My only caveat is that the shade is graphite, versus ebony. Nonetheless, this set is a keeper, because the quality is so high.

Good quality pencils. Thick and heavy duty.

These pencils have to be sharpened really frequently and the lead breaks sometimes while in use. They also get graphite smudges all over your hands and working surface. Wouldn't buy these again.
