Prismacolor Premier Pencil Sharpener

The sharpener is easy to handle, even with Arthritic hands and fingers. The point comes out nice and sharp. The only problem I have is that I can't figure out how to open it to dump out the shavings. I'm afraid to pry open anywhere with a screwdriver. There is a slot that looks it can take a small screwdriver, but when I try to open it, it won't budge anything.

This sharpener is perfect for soft colored pencils. For prismsacolor pencils, this sharpener is gentle enough not to over-sharpen or to break the lead. This makes the colored pencils last much longer.

Great sharpener, far superior to any others I've tried, and I'm a teacher, so I've tried a lot. Particularly great for sharpening EXPENSIVE Prismacolor colored pencils. Big recommend.

I've tried so many different sharpener and none worked well. I decided to try one more, and it works well on my coloring pencils. I'm going to get their coloring pencils next.

Wow, in a two or three twists of the pencil, this perfectly sharpens my water color pencils. This is the best one I have ever had! No plug ins cords to bother with. This manual sharpener exceeded my expectations!

It seems like the side part would open to empty it, but it’s the top that pops open to empty it. The part on the side makes it easy enough for my 10 year old to do on her own cause it helps her be able to get a good grip on it.

I bought three of these pencil sharpeners and I use them. 1. The flip tops broke off, but it doesn’t really matter because you don’t need them. 2. However, it is difficult to open the pencil sharpener to get the shavings out. 3. it is even harder to put the lid back on after you’ve emptied it.

Prisma is an excellent company. While this sharpener does have 2 holes, I assumed holes would be for 2 sizes of pencils. Both holes are same size. sharpener does a good job to sharpen.

Could not get open to empty. No instructions on how to open . Had to go product website for instructions. Other consumers on website had same problem. Again just written instructions, no diagram. Would not buy again or other products from this company.

This is terrible - a piece of junk! Impossible to open to empty the shavings. Does a very poor job sharpening. Walmart should no longer offer this product for sale!!!
