It is a Christmas present for a teenage; so I haven't actually used it yet. But if the description is accurate; it will be a excellent gift
I bought this set for myself, and I'm really happy with it. The Prismacolor pencils are smooth, vibrant, and blend beautifully, which makes shading skin tones so much easier. The digital lessons are easy to follow and really helped me improve my portrait drawing step by step.
This Prismacolor set is perfect for beginners who want to learn portrait drawing. The pencils are high quality, and the digital lessons are clear, easy to follow, and very helpful. Great value for anyone starting with art.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how this set comes with digital lessons. It helps me learn while having the supplies I need. As well as it is a wonderful quality brand. My go to brand for all art supplies! I recommend these for gifts for people who are into art!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave this to my cousin and she's having a lot of fun with it. She's learning the shapes and proportions of people she's also learning her own art style. She's been really excited to show me her progress.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the colors for this art set! It has several neutral skin tone colors and several harder to find colors. I like drawing portraits and this set makes my art look so professional. It does come with lessons also and I have learned new techniques from the lessons. I highly recommended it for artists who like to draw portraits!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I pretty much always get my colored pencils from Prismacolor. It's one of the more affordable "high-end" colored pencil brands. This kit is pretty cool! I think it's a little more "beginner" than I was expecting, but still fun to follow along with. The videos idea is neat too. The videos aren't super long or detailed, but they're still decent. I like the color selection that comes with the kit. The pencils are easy to blend together too. Overall a nice thing to get for a beginner artist!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my 13yo teenage daughter, and she liked it well enough. She's a decent artist, but not great with portraits and the like. She thought it was a good lesson, but found having to do the digital aspect of it slightly tedious. Not hard, but the extra effort of it all. That could be her age playing a part in it though.
Portrait drawing is difficult for me. I think I will use what I've learned to create silly art and tuck the knowledge in my pocket if I ever need it I'll have a few skills
