It has no smell at all and it is just as described. It's rather firm so if you need it to be soft for some reason I wouldn't get it. For what I want it for it's just right.

It worked perfectly to make drink holders it was semi firm.

the fit and quality

love this, got cots for me and my bestie and needed extra padding for him its turned out marvelous. very comfy and it returns to its original form after sleeping on it . no dents. It would be perfect for camping I think if you were able to cover it with some material you could use as well sleep in that it would be perfect for that. you can get packs of material through Walmart up to 4 yd long would be more than enough to cover.

When I saw this online I was very excited about getting this size for this great price. Unfortunately, I didn't think about it coming rolled up. The inside 2 feet are virtually unusable. The creases used to pack it won't come out. I have it flat on the floor under a couch cushion for at least the last month, hoping the creases will come out and I can use it. Do yourself a favor and don't buy a roll of foam rubber, bite the bullet and buy a flat piece.

Because it was rolled up there were weird crumpled up edges. Also this didn't measure 72” in length it was only about 65” minus 1.5” due to the misshaping which means I have to by a second one for the missing 9” to finish my project and cross my fingers it doesn't look strange when I patch it together. Annoying.

the foam is not the type i need for our project.
