Promar Seal Proof Bait Cage

I've been using the Promar Seal Proof Bait Cage and overall, I'm very satisfied with its quality. The build is solid and durable, and it does exactly what it's supposed to do—keep seals out while allowing the bait to slowly release scent into the water. This feature makes it highly effective for longer sets, as the bait lasts much longer compared to using it without protection. The only improvement I would suggest is length. If the cage were a bit longer, it could hold more bait and be even more efficient for extended fishing trips. Still, for its current size and performance, it's an excellent product that I would recommend to other anglers.

i just bought 3 of these cages to replace other brands that were destroyed or are in the process of being destroyed by Dungeness crabs. The old cages are metal and start rusting immediately and the crabs are able to cut through the thin metal and eat all of the bait. Not with these cages. The material is indestructible, the two clip design holds the cage in place and the screw on lid keeps bait secure. i had one of these on a trap i lost and now im changing over to them in my other traps. These cages will outlast the life of my traps.

Keeps bait intact much longer than other style cages. Crabs can smell the bait well, but cant get at it to eat it all up.

One of the better bait traps in the market. Holds the baits well, lasted the entire night of lobster trapping. Good solid product.

Does its job and and keeps seal from ripping up your bait bag. But the lid comes loose sometimes. Its basically an expensive pvc pipe. If you wanted to "save" some money you could probably make this yourself out of pvc, maybe even 3D print it. (your price per cage would probably be cheaper, but you'd spend more money overall if you just wanted one)
