When I got this, I first charged the pad and the headphones. It comes with a separate charging cable for each, along with car and electrical socket adapter for the USB connections. After charging I worked to set up the pad and then tested it out. I ran it for 2 1/2 hours on the web watching videos just to test the battery. I also paired and tested the headphones, after initial setup. BTW, if you just push the on/off button on the headphones, they will not power up. You must hold the button down for a couple seconds. After initial testing, I shut it down for the night. The next morning, I powered it back up and noticed the battery meter (pic of a battery) showed approximately 50% used, so not bad for over 2 hours of use prior. I then put a DVD in to check that our. It ran smoothly, but, when using these Bluetoogh headphones, there was a definite delay in the sound. This was annoying when you see people talking and hear then after their mouth quits moving. I listened without the headphones and if there was any delay at this point, it was minimal and not so bad that it was annoying, as it was with the headphones. I did not try direct connect headphones or ear buds, but there is a jack, so this may work well that way, just not sure yet. I am sure the battery use will increase with the DVD in use, but only watched about 20-30 minutes for testing. The battery still showed 1/4 or more left. Overall, a decent little unit.
