I am really happy with this. I can pick it up with one hand. Its a little heavy but i like that i don't need help. I took off the side panel, just two screws, put in the pre measured bottle of oil and put the panel back on. I then put in the correct amount of no E gas. I turned the dial to choke and was able to start it for the first time with 3 easy pulls. Moved the dial to run and we were able to continue our conversation without yelling over the sound. I turned it off and started it a couple more times. The other starts were just one easy pull. Very happy with this
Overall happy with this purchase. Used it on a camping trip. We could hold a normal conversation, with generator 10 ft away on eco mode, without having to raise our voices. We ran the generator mainly at night for lights. The coffee pot in the mornings. Very happy to finally have one that is quiet and it was affordable.
Very Cost effective. We used it on a week long camping trip and it worked great. Started up every time. When I got home, I emptied the gas out of it and will put clean gas in next time we need to use it. Great little generator. Let us keep on going when we were completely disconnected.
No power for 5 days and counting due to Hurricane Beryl. Ordered this on Tuesday, showed up at the house Fri morning. Filled it with the included oil, added gas and it fired up on the third pull. Is currently running a small window unit ac plus 3 box fans and charging phones. It's quieter than expected which is a plus since I live in an apartment. Runs for around 6 hours on a gallon of fuel, wish the tank was larger but thats my only complaint. Definitely a great buy, would definitely recommend.
This little generator was a lifesaver during Hurricane Francine. I was having problems with my large generator so I went purchase this one last minute and it preformed perfectly. I had my refrigerator, 2 fans %26 TV with cable / internet running off it. With that plugged into it, it ran over 6, almost 7 hours before needing to be refueled.
Had an outage that lasted a little over a week. Bought this and used it to power a room with a wall unit and a double door fridge. One tank lasts about 6 hours. Only drawback is I had to disconnect everything to use my keurig so it wouldn't shut off. Not sure how well it will do with heaters. Otherwise, it works well.
It was stolen right after receiving it… and I called to get the serial number per had not opened the box. I purchased an extended warranty from you and not even that was taken care of… when I finally spoke with a person after AI would not let me through with the help of the extended warranty people… your agent that had such a strong accent that maybe she couldn't understand my need was the serial number… that is all I asked for and explained it was not Walmart's fault it was taken… she insisted that I be refunded per such a loyal customer. You sent a survey that I gave you and her a glowing review. Based on lies… per you immediately sent out email stating no refund would occur per your policies… Now off to your competitors… I had just bought bed and iPad and shopped with you almost weekly… I did not ask for refund, but if you are going to use foreign people to answer your calls at least honor their word… No thank you Walmart
I bought this generator just in case because the old house I was in had a lot of power outages it can only run either a portable AC or a mini fridge it cannot run anything else with it it has to be one or the other I cannot run the filter for my aquarium or the air supply I cannot run a fan I bought it because all the reviews said you could run multiple items unfortunately those don't seem to be the case with mine and it's not as quiet as it says it was I can hear it half a block away
The generator works poorly. Once started it shuts off quickly. There is black smoke coming from the back of the generator. It has a fow smell from the smoke and it won't stay on. You have to continue pull the string in order for it to run. I think someone dropped this item. It is very loud in the beginning, but you have to pull the lever 5 - 7 times before it will work and it becomes quiet. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS ITEM!
Save yourself from a serious hazard and a company that does not stand behind its product. I plugged in my phone to test this generator during a power outage. Within the first 20 minutes, my extension cord and charger brick melted. When I contacted Pulsar, they tried to shift the blame to my cord and charger, even though I had used both for years without any issue. Pulsar also admitted the generator is supposed to have a built-in breaker to shut the unit off in the event of an electrical hazard, but that never happened. I had to shut it off myself after noticing the melting. They eventually agreed to replace the generator, which would have been reasonable, except they refused to provide any real help with the return. They told me I had to mail the defective unit back, but also made it my responsibility to figure out how to drain the gas and oil, properly dispose of those hazardous materials, package the machine, and make sure it did not even smell like gas. They also warned that if anything leaked during shipping, I could face penalties or fines. That is not a realistic or reasonable expectation for the average person, especially for a generator that was used for only about 20 minutes before it created a fire hazard. I bought this as a product to use, not as a project requiring tools, mechanical work, hazardous material disposal, and shipping compliance just to get warranty service. When I asked for a more reasonable solution, Pulsar acted like they were doing me a favor by offering a replacement at all and framed the issue as though I was just unwilling to return it. That is false. I was willing to return it, but they refused to provide a safe and workable way to do so. Walmart also told me they could not take back a used engine containing oil or gas. This is not buyer's remorse. This was a dangerous product failure followed by an unacceptable warranty experience. I would strongly recommend avoiding Pulsar products.
