Great little generator, I purchased this in response to a storm that did some major damage to our power lines and I needed something to power the fridge and stand up freezer. We have been having more power outages recently and they are longer more often then not. This generator handled everything without any issues. The generator is light enough I could lift it up out of the box. Noisy as expected, but compared to my last generator the handle has a clip to hold it so it is not vibrating making a ton of noise. Set up was easy, after putting in just over 1/2 qt oil, filled the gas tank and started right up, either first or second pull. It does run on gas or propane, I have not run this one on propane but also have the larger model now as well and they do a good job running on propane, that might be my primary fuel source. I ended up purchasing a larger one of the same brand to power my house with a generator transfer switch, but now I have this one as a backup, it will be able to do the important things fridge, freezer, well, and a few lights just in case I have an issue with the bigger one.
This product got us through a 60 hour power outage. We were able to use the fuel and propane. Full tank of gas lasted about 6 hours. The set up was super easy. Does need the air filter cleaned about every 24 hours it runs and oil changed frequently but no complaints. Easy to move.
I will be honest that I haven't used it yet, we didn't lose power with the ice storm that came. But it was super easy to put together, just put the wheels on it and the handle if I remember correctly. And once I got oil and gas in it, it started with the second pull of the cord. It ran very smoothly and was relatively quiet compared with others I've heard in the neighborhood. I have confidence as easy as it started that it will run well when I actually need it. Very happy with it.
I purchased this after a tornado took out the power to my house for over a week. I ran it around the clock on gasoline, and it worked and powered my router, television, two deep freezers, refrigerator, electric fans, a small window unit air conditioner, and occasionally a microwave. Worked great, and lasted for hours on each tank. I did not have to refuel it during the night. It didn't take very long to assemble and set up. I ran everything off of extension cords.
Well living in the Deep South , you will need one of these when the season comes and the rising , wind, and thunder fills the sky's. Not wanting to lose my food in the freezers and fridge , I was looking for the best price and overall quality. This one uses both propane and gas , which make a great advantage for the user as most always have both on hand. Thanks again for keep things like this available and reasonable in price , some other brands are way over priced for a moderate budget.
this generator works great I taken it on multiple camping trips, the dual fuel is nice especially if you run out of gas you can switch to propane ran water heater, coffee pots, plug in heater is great for the price
This is a a good and powerful generator, and it will run multiple devices such as refrigerators, freezers and lamps, but it is very very loud. and it is not an inverter. I had requested an inverter generator, so this was not the right one for me. And it's 20 decibels louder than my municipality allows. but if you're in a place where a noise doesn't matter, I would highly recommend it.
The delivery process was terrible. WM never delivered the item and never contacted us to say they wouldn't deliver it. Customer service kept me on hold for almost an hour and then just gave me the store number. I had to go pick it up. After all that, it didn't work. We've wasted weeks trying to get it to work and having a replacement sent from the manufacturer that also doesn't work. No one will refund our purchase.
Actually. i gave poor review because your stupid site is so user unfriendly that i cannot even locate the receipt to the purchase so i can submit it to the Allstate protection. your site is awful.. this is the last time im purchasing fro Walmart. You can never have that problem at Amazon.com
I cant speak to how the generator works, because the one Walmart gave me was used and labeled by them as broken. Why they decided to put a rusted and broken generator back
