Pure Balance Pro+ Large Breed Chicken and Brown Rice Recipe Dry Dog Food, 30 lb

Due to my research of brands ingredients, I switched from purina to pure balance. Pure balance is the better fit for my fur babies. It's been easier on their digestive system. PB is a 12 year brand without any recalls (currently at time of this review)

I feed my standard poodle and small Chi this food. They both like. i believe it to be healthy. i mix with 100% pure pumpkin every night. At times I add cooked chicken breast and green beans (no salt added). They love baby carrots for a morning snack. so, I think my dogs are getting proper nutrition. No corn or added fillers.

My rescue Black German Shepherd loves this food. It makes his coat so nice and healthy. He has better bowel movements that are nice and firm. It seems to agree quite well with his stomach. Have tried several different brands and chose this as my choice. I highly recommend it for your sweet dog or dogs. You shall not be disappointed.

I have a 1 and a half year old Rottie who was struggling to gain weight no matter what or how much I fed her but when I switched over to this she immediately started gaining the weight she needed to and she lovesss her food and I also noticed her poop had also gotten so much better than it was before.

We've been really happy with this dog food. Our dog likes it and has been eating it consistently without any issues. The ingredients seem good, and it's been easy on their stomach. The large bag lasts a while, and for the quality, the price feels fair. Overall, it's been a solid choice and we plan to keep buying it.

It's a bit expensive, but nothing like the other healthier choices. On top of that, my dogs love it. My Husky mix refuses to eat anything else. He is very picky. Likes only the chicken flavor. Unlike the previous food, he no longer vomits, which is great! Would certainly recommend giving it a shot.

The food is a great price and both my picky dogs loved it, but this food was a winner for one dog and a loser for the other. One dog did great. The other dog developed severe gas, noxious farts, and some diarrhea, so I had to stop feeding it to him before all the paint peeled off the walls. It's worth a try for the cost, nutrition and attractive taste, but transition slowly and watch how things come out.

I've bought 3 different recipes of this brand and have had mold in the bags and the food was tainted. I've tried to reach out to pure balance which is a walmart brand and not once have I received a reply to any of my emails. Tis food is terrible and will kill your pets. Not to mention this company just wants your money and dont care.

Absolutely HORRIBLE dog food. It's doing a terrible toll on my dogs microbiomes. They have constant diarrhea, they are itchy and licking their paws. Even cheaper dog food treated them better than this dirt. I bought this thinking that it would be a great deal because of the price, but I will NEVER buy this again. My dogs are suffering and the hit it's taken on their health is disturbingly bad. Don't even consider buying this, find something else. People think because their dogs like the taste of it that it's better, when there's more to it. Don't even trial it, FIND SOMETHING ELSE DO NOT BUY THIS. Your risking your dogs suffering if money is tight and you can't replace it. I don't have a choice but to feed them this and it feels like abuse

I got this as a healthy alternative for my senior dog. It looked good as it specifically pointed out it was geared for joints, gastrointestinal, hair/skin, etc. and didn't have the byproducts like other brands. My poor boy suffered the worst bloating, gas and diarrhea while on this brand. I seriously thought he got into the garbage again and ate something rotten he wasn't supposed to. The stench emanating from this dogs behind smelled like something died. I immediately switched him back to his old brand and he was back to normal. I would buy the smallest bag possible to try if you decide, but be prepared, it may not be pretty.
