Purina Pro Plan Adult Urinary Tract Health Chicken and Rice Formula Dry Cat Food, 16 lb

This product is a lifesaver for those who have cats with urinary issues. It cost a few dollars more than your typical dry food, but it is well worth it. I believe Purina Pro Plan and Purina one wet food for urinary health has saved my cat from further development of stones. The vet only wanted us to order prescription food, which was exorbitant and required periodic physicals. We did that for a while, but it became too expensive.

I have a very picky eater. And I have another cat that is only allowed to eat urinary care cat food. My picky eater didn't like any of his foods so I bought her so many of the popular brands with good reviews only to temp my other cat who was not allowed to have her food. Had to buy special feeding containers to keep the other cat out since he was only allowed untinary care cat food. I stumbled purina proolan urinary care when hearing that my son's cat loved it. So I tried it with my finicky eater first. She cannot seem to get enough of this. She was very underweight so I was so happy to finally find something she likes. And it's okay if my other cat eats this one because it's urinary care so they actually both love it. And I'm now buying it for both cats.

All my cats are on this food after a urinary problem developed with one of my male cats. They all seem to like it just fine, and we have not had anymore bladder issues. I have been buying this for over 2 years now. It is much more reasonably priced than the medicated foods at the vet, that are sold for this issue.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) My cat has loved this food since he came off his kitten food years ago. It seems to be easy on his stomach, and filling, but it provides peace of mind to me knowing I'm taking preventative measures against urinary issues.

This is a bit of an odd review, because cats can't talk. As much as we all wish they could. My girls were mixed on this. One was not in love with it, but did eat it well enough that she didn't seem starving. The other one did not like it at all! This was the second food we tried when our vet ran out of the Royal Canin urinary SO food they have been eating their whole lives. First we tried Iams, they both did not like it. Then tried this. The review question asks if I recommend it, well there's no option for yes and no. I say try it if you can afford it, and can give it away to someone else if your cat doesn't like it. But if the price seems expensive to you, like it was for us, I would say pass on it. This is NOT medical advice, but I would think giving something they will eat for sure for a week or so, is much better than having one who will not eat it at all. We ended up getting some Friskies cans because we knew it was a sure thing.

I am a big fan of Purina Pro Plan Cat food. Unfortunately my cat did not seem to like this one. As she has gotten older %26 recently had a uti, I figured I would give this a shot at helping her. It may work for you but for us just wasn't what she needed.

I should've read the ingredients before I ordered it because it's mostly corn. It does have a lot of vitamins. But I don't think corn would be very good for a cats kidneys either. It's more expensive than the Purina. I usually buy which he likes but these are bigger kibbles, and he doesn't really like it at all and it was $20 with tax. There's probably a better better kidney food for cats out there.

I'm told this is the only non prescribed cat food that actually helps to dissolve urinary crystals without a vets prescription. That said, my cats hate the taste, and ultimately, I have to mix a little regular food in with it just to get them to eat it.

i didn't receive my item,so how i can i say either way if my cat like or dislikes it. Also i only ordered i bag of dry cat food. I had already done a cancellation on july 3rd for the 2nd bag. Well obviously where the 1st bag went they got a 2nd bag as well. I also didn't receive my package of purina wet cat food either. i want all my money refunded to me. I ordered a hand held with rubber gripping can opener never received that either. If things dont change I'll happily take my business elsewhere %26 give a bad review. This is ridiculous!!

First bag was full of some sort of flying beetles almost infested my house. Got a refund. Ordered second bag, cat has been throwing up for 2 weeks, after inspecting the bag it's full of maggots!!!! doing some research and apparently tons of people have been having this problem for years. Why in God's name haven't they fixed this yet? Going to be calling the company tomorrow and giving them a piece of my mind they're trying to poison my cats! Stay far away from this food!!
