[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that Pyranha offers a water-based formula - no oily streaks on my horses. Seems to last a long time in my hot, dry climate.
I've been using this product for over a decade now and it continues to work well for my horses. I am very pleased with how quickly I received this after placing the order.
Pyranha Equine Spray and Wipe has been an amazing asset in our battle to keep our horses less bothered by flies.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been the only fly spray I have used for the last 10 years or more. It's the only spray that really works. During summer my mare has free access of pasture. I spray her at night an I know she can go out an be fine the next morning. I love pyranha equine spray and wipe.
Pyranha Equine Spray and Wipe is effective and durable. It doesn't last for the 7 days the manufacturer's literature claims, but I can get at least two days out of a single spray-down. This "water-based" formula doesn't cause welts on horses that react to Pyranha's other flyspray (Pyranha Wipe N' Spray). Aside from inventing the most-confusing naming scheme in history for these two products, Pyranha seems like an honorable outfit. If your horse has a reaction to Pyranha's oil-based fly spray, give Equine Spray and Wipe a try. When you shop for it, though, be sure to read the label carefully and pick the right formula. Equine Spray and Wipe comes in a blue container. Wipe N' Spray is bottled in yellow.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being water based, it doesn't work as well as the oil base one so you just have to reapply more often. And unfortunately all of these products have a chemical smell but they work great and that's what my horses need.
Bought the gallon size because we have 9 horses that use it. Spray has a pleasant smell and is effective in keeping away the flies. However since we live in Florida, products never last as long on the horse as it claims. It also doesn't seem to have any skin irritation associated with it. I will purchase again for the remainder of the summer, which here in Florida will last until November!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seems like over the years flies have become resistant to fly repellents, including this product. That said, it does repel flies to some extent, hence the review title "Works Okay." Perhaps rotating fly repellents might help?
Decided to try this product because tests showed it to be the best water based fly spray. It of course doesn't last as long as oil or lanolin based products but my horse got blisters from those. I now use a fly sheet and spray this product generously on his legs, neck and belly. Have to reapply later in the day.
The water based spray does a good job in general. The oil based spray appears to affect a broader range of flies. But the water based is less residual. Smell is pleasant.
