New Design is Great

Omar February 15, 2025

I liked the redesign of the bowls. At first, I wasn't sure because I liked the old design so much but the handles that are on the side of the bowls are super handy. The redesigned lids fit perfectly onto the bowls. a sure tight fit. And of course, the tough Pyrex glass is great.

Great mixing bowls

Cheeky April 18, 2025

I needed to replace my glass mixing bowls, not Pyrex, that I bought many years ago. I was surprised that WM offered a more bowls than Amazon at a lower price point. So far I am very pleased with them. I like that this set also offers the convenience of lids. I haven’t used the largest one yet but I’m sure there will be an opportunity to use.

Pleasantly surprised

Jessica April 11, 2025

I was expecting something smaller for the price. I was very happy when it arrived and it was much larger than I expected. Thick glass I dropped one opening them and not even a chip. Lids fit great. And the bowls are perfect sizes for storage in the refrigerator.

Quality Priced Bowls that last.

John January 4, 2026

My mother used Pyrex and their products are quality that last. Need I say more? The price beat all the big name stores. The lids are great for storage and leftovers. Making bread will become easier now that I can have everything ready instead of pulling it as I go. The bowls are being put into service. Double thumbs up!

Highest Quality at Lowest Price

ToLo May 20, 2026

The "Pyrex" article on wikipedia.org explains why (for products made since the late 1970s) this (all lower case) "pyrex" brand, is "Made in USA" of "tempered soda-lime glass"; which is about twice as mechanically strong as (all upper case) "PYREX" brand, that is made in nations other than the USA of "borosilicate glass", which is three times more resistant to thermal shock than "tempered soda-lime glass". So this "pyrex" product is less likely to break when dropped, than "PYREX". But "PYREX" is less likely to break if its temperature is too quickly changed, such as by placing a hot bowl on a countertop without using pot holders, a pad or a trivet; or putting a hot bowl directly into a dishwasher. The largest size four quart bowl, is the largest glass bowl I've ever seen. Walmart has only one other four quart glass bowl, that is made of borosilicate glass, which alone costs about the same price as all four of these "pyrex" bowls. I owned a set of these "pyrex" bowls for over a decade, but I recently dropped one which broke. So I am glad for a chance to replace it at 25% less price than I paid (in a grocery supermarket) for the same set over 10 years ago! See my photo showing the four quart bowl is nearly 1 foot wide around the extended rim and about 4 inches high, and the smallest bowl is around 3 inches high. I use these to cook pasta and oatmeal in a microwave. I don't use them for baking in an oven, although that is safe. Never scour either tempered soda-lime or borosilicate glass products with anything abrasive because they are soft, so easily scratched. Chips and scratches weaken the glass so that it may break when heated or thermally shocked. For more safety cautions and safe usage information about tempered soda-lime glass products, see this website: https://www.anchorhocking.com/bakeware-facts/

Great bowls

Bethany September 26, 2025

Love these bowls, I have them at all of our rental properties and have given them as gifts for friends moving into new homes. The bowls are great, the lids are nice and snug, the bowls are thick glass and they are the perfect sizes for various salads and other prepared items.

Necessary set for all kitchens

lawchic April 5, 2025

Had a set from 17 years ago. Got a second set one of the lids from old set was starting to crack. The glass is much better for storing food than that nasty plastic. I also keep my dog food on my counter for a quick dog feeding. You will not be disappointed

Cheap soda lime glass, not borosilicate glass !

STUART January 23, 2025

Not borosilicate glass ! Pyrex is a synonym for high quality borosilicate glass, that doesn't shatter when exposed to rapid temperature changes. But what they sent me is the cheap soda lime glass that DOES shatter under those conditions. Nowhere in the posting did it list the material, but the pics did show the distinctive greenish tinge of borosilicate glass, not the grey of soda lime glass. So, they quite obviously are trying to trick people into spending the higher prices expected of the good glass. If I wanted cheap soda lime glass, I would buy that from Anchor Hocking.

Poor Quality

anonymous November 4, 2025

I was ordering this as a second set from a set used for at least 10 years. The glass is thinner and just feels much ‘cheaper' and not as heavy duty as the same exact much older purchase. I made a bat b of cookie dough in one of the bowls (second largest I believe) as the very first usage. I then hand washed it in the sink and when washing another glass item very lightly dinged this glads bowl lushing it not hard at all into the interior side of the sink and a large shard of glass broke off underneath (the bottom of it so to speak) the top glass rim. That bowl needs to now be discarded as clearly is no longer safe to be used. Also one of the other bowls I made some oatmeal in the microwave and when I washed that bowl it seemed to have some sort of flaw embedded i to the glass. It almost looks like an air bubble/water drop embedded into the glass. These are significantly inferior compared to the same exact pyrex glass multi pack that used to be made. A glass bowl chipping off a shard like that by merely tapping into the sink of the sink (and being absolutely brand new) is pathetic not to mention made it unusable. A brand new bowl with an interior flaw shouldn't happen and to have only used two of the bowls and both having an issue is just poor quality or just a super random bit of bad luck but given how I could instantly tell they are just far less durable than the previous set by the weight alone says a lot.

WARPED GLASS LID WILL NOT FIT

KR September 27, 2025

THIS SET OF BOWLS CAME WITH A WARPED 4QT. BOWL. T HE LID IT CAME WITH WOULD NOT FIT. I HAD TO BUY TWO DIFFERENT LIDS AND NEITHER ONE WOULD FIT. I COULD NOT RETURN JUST THE 4 QT BOWL SO I GOT RIPPED OFF!!! USUALLY THIS IS A GREAT BOWL SET, BUT FOR SOME REASON THIS SET WAS NOT. I'M GUESSING QUALITY CONTROL CALLED IN SICK THE DAY IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE INSPECTED! IF YOU ARE GOING TO BUY THIS SET, I SUGGEST YOU BUY IT FROM THE SOURCE. NOT WALMART!
