I love this oatmeal. It is easy to prepare and taste great.
I like the flavors offered in the mix. The product is easy to make it takes 60 seconds. To change it up a little I sometimes add walnuts and extra dried fruit such as cranberries. I cook it in milk but also add a little of my liquid coffee creamer (French Vanilla) after cooking for a little twist. The texture of the cooked product turns out perfect every time. This is my breakfast pretty much every day.
Love that Walmart has a lower sugar variety option. I am on a weight loss plan and having an oatmeal with less sugar is amazing. It took a few pouches to get adjusted to the difference in taste, but now I wont go back to the original variety, tastes too sweet.
Lower sugar is definitely its strong point. Fast way to start the day, or should I say? Break the fast. For some items available for shipping, and at a fair price, Walmart has zero competition, and this is one of those. 4 Stars.
I was on vacation and needed something quick, healthy, cheap and easy to prepare. The fact that it tasted good was nice too. Still plenty sweet even with less added sugar. Way to go Quaker Oats!
So this is of no fault to Walmart. This oatmeal tastes so artificially sweet. It is gross. I love regular sweetened oatmeal and I accidently purchased this one Lower Sugar. Egh. Better off buying it plain and adding some honey to the oatmeal. Much better for you. Truly the taste is so off. Again, not Walmarts doing. It's just a bad product from Quaker. I am a big fan of Quaker but this product is horrible. Gave it two stars instead of one because I still love Quaker.
I love the original version, and I thought this one was still made with actual sugar, just less of it. The aftertaste is bad and lasts quite some time. I took it to work to have during breaktime, and the maple smell is so strong that coworkers have been complaining nonstop. I tried spraying Febreeze and my container is sealed, and the smell just lingers. I will be throwing the rest out.
overall all the packets taste nasty. can't even eat it. the cinnamon and spice one especially tastes so horrid. very salty and cannot go down throat. VERY bad flavor. I am not a picky eater either I eat all cereals and oatmeals but this one is an exception. please save yourself the money and time.
Like many others, I thought - hmmm could use less sugar in one of my favorite convenience breakfasts. I keep a box on hand at the office to eat if I didn't have time for breakfast at home. Like others, the smell is overpowering. Whole office stinks now. And SALTY! Did they replace the sugar with salt? Yikes.
I gave this to my son as an alternative for breakfast he didn’t like it so I tried it and it has an off taste almost like Splenda I don’t see that listed in the ingredients but ew something’s wrong with this stuff, good job ruining oatmeal I’m throwing it away waste of money or better yet you can have it back give me a refund!
