Quaker State has been around since 1912. It's a great brand that has withstood the test of time. I have been using Quaker State Full Synthetic for years in a 2009 Volkswagen Beetle, 2005 Ford Escape and now Quaker State Ultimate Protection in a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze and a 2017 Chevrolet Sonic. As a former Porsche Technician, I change my oil every 3300 miles, 3 times every 10,000 miles. Never do an oil change without replacing the oil filter! Always use a good quality oil filter such as Wix or Mobil 1. I have seen the damage neglect can do to an engine. Though it says it can go 20,000 miles, oil gets dirty and that causes premature wear on internal engine components. I would never ever consider going 20,000 miles between oil changes and hope that you don't either. This is a great oil for the price. I highly recommend.
So far, I'm very impressed with this oil. It's my first oil change with the ultimate protection. I was using the regular full synthetic Quaker state previously. From what I understand this is basically Pennzoil ultra platinum which has been rebadged, and the price is lower.
this Quaker State oil is very high quality it's also manufactured by Shell oil company excellent product would be very good for use in a truck towing campers boats truck use or heavy duty use very good
My husband, an Automotive Services Excellence Master Technician maintains our cars to pristine condition and swears by this oil. We have a 2013 Suby WRX engine that loves this oil. Can't beat the performance.
The quaker state ultimate protection oil is the best bang for your buck there is. I use it in my 2.3 eco-boost turbo engine. I've never had a problem. My engine has never been more smooth and more quiet. The oil is cheaper because it don't have the advertising budget the others do. You're not paying a “name tax“ like you do for other more expensive brands. It's made by shell and this ultimate protection product is a GTL base. Project farm tested this oil against others and it performed extremely well especially in the evaporative Loss test, which means it holds up to high temps like in today's turbo engines. I highly recommend this. Walmart recently had this on sale and I stocked up. My 22 Ford Ranger will always get this oil.
This oil is a tremendous value. The 5w30 is on the thick side for grade, but more importantly the base oil is almost entirely made from natural gas (GTL) like the more expensive Shell products. It meets common specification requirements for many cars as well. A winner all the way around.
Quaker is a solid performer at a great price , low overhead due to minimal advertising with the savings passed on to you
I bought 2 online 5w30 and picked up curbside. I get home and one is 0w20. i drice back to the store snd they refusedto exchange it. went on the app, got rhe return barcode, and went back in. they refused to give me the refund. Soend the few extra bucks and go domewhere else.
There is nothing wrong with Quaker State Ultimate Protection Full Synthetic 5W-30 Motor Oil. What is wrong is that they sent the wrong viscosity (5w20) when the order was for 5w30. Called Walmart and they said I could take the oil back to the store and see if they would replace it with the correct viscosity, but I could not return it for a refund. I still have one quart of oil on order, so I hope they get it right on that part of the order. This will probably be the last time I order online from Walmart, not worth the nonsense.
When I received package box was soaked with oil lid was barely hanging so needless to say, I did not get 5 quarts in that container I will say, probably spread to my place to where it started. Anyway, there you are.
