I tried this because the little expensive tube of abreva was not working. This worked much better and blends into your lips/skin better. I like the ingredient list and it works for me! It comes in smaller tubes (easier to carry) than Swanson sells, as this tube is about 3 inches long.

I ordered the Super Lysine before I had a cold sore. I got a cold sores a day or two after I received the product. I applied the Super Lysine on my cold sores, and they were completely gone in two days! Awesome product. Thanks, Barbara

I have bought this Super Lysine+ a number a times and really like it. This time it looks different. The Product Label here shows Active ingredient: Zinc Oxide (1.2%). The one I got is Menthol (0.1%). I don't know if they just changed the box or if they really changed the product. The old product works great, this one I don't know about yet.

I agree with other reviewers that this is either the wrong product or it has changed. Either way it is not going on my order as the lysine ingredient is farther down the list, and won't be as effective. Very disappointed, but I can get the right product at a competitor's site.

Oh No! This is not the same product I request be carried on this site a number of years ago. This is different from the last I bought which was sold as an ointment and was extremely effective with Menthol as the active ingredient. This one has no menthol in it and the zinc has been moved to the top of the list from the bottom. I won't buy again. Want old one back, which is still carried on the manufacturers site. If zinc were the ingredient that made this work I would buy Zinc oxide and call it a day. The zinc is not what made this product effective.
