Ragu Simply Traditional Pasta Sauce, 24 oz

I cannot eat red pasta sauce without horrible reflux. Most contain sugar and additives that add to acidity. Decided to try this and it did not bother me. Tasted fresher than the other sauces I've tried over the years. The low-acid brands are ridiculously expensive, but this seems to be a good, affordable alternative. I recommend it.

This is the 1st time using this product because it was newly offered. As always, 2 bottles to 1 lb of pasta. 1 1/2 lb of beef meat. After tasting, I added garlic and onion. Did not have to add ketchup to save the sauce. There was a slight hint to taste like when I walk into the Italian Deli market down town and smell the store. The sauce would be something I'd keep in my pantry for pasta dinners on the fast and quick. I normally make my own sauce but always looking for good off the shelf brand.

As a family with challenging food allergies, I was SO excited to find this sauce. We can't have any corn products and the amount of sauces that use corn syrup or corn based preservatives is frustrating. In addition to the simple ingredient list, our family really likes that there are NO chunks in this sauce. My only complaint is that although the flavor is good, it's a little bland for my liking (though for my kids that's ok). But I'm also used to growing my own tomatoes and making it from scratch, so it's hard to compete with that. But for when I run out of my own sauce, this is a great, super affordable substitute that we love using for pasta, homemade pizzas, hot dishes, etc!

We're not typically a Ragu sauce family. However, love the idea of fewer ingredients in any product. Also love that it has olive oil in it instead of less healthy oils. I do wish they put less salt in it though. Everything has so much salt these days. However, we were pleasantly suprised at how good this is. Definitely going to keep this stocked in our pantry.

Why can't the companies make simple, good food? This tomato sauce is the perfect example. It's got simple ingredients and it tastes fantastic. It's a perfect base if you want to add anything else, but it's very flavorful just by itself. Give it a try, what do you have to lose.

I have always liked Ragu products, but am just blown away by the Ragu Simply 8 pasta sauce. The eight ingredients are all natural: Tomato puree (water and tomato paste), onions, olive oil, salt, garlic, basil, oregano. Each half-cup serving of sauce provides a one cup serving of veggies (40% of the recommended daily requirement.) It contains no added sugars, no high fructose corn syrup; as a result, it is low-carb, too. What it is NOT low in is taste. It is a jar full of delightful flavor at the perfect consistency- not too chunky, not watery. I highly recommend Ragu Simply 8 as your go-to sauce for a delicious and easy weeknight dinner.

Great Starter Pasta Sauce for Beginner Cooks. Yes, add some of your favorite Italian spices, such as garlic powder, basil, Italian seasoning, maybe some red pepper flakes, don't expect this sauce to do all the work but it is a Healthy alternative to what's generally out there, the Price is térrific, it's a quick option for dinner, and I keep it on hand when I don't have time to make my own. I give this five stars because it's all natural and no added sugar and still tastes good as the ones that do have sugar. and the only negative I would give is the part that I normally don't like about ragu. It looks like ketchup. there's no chunks in it

RAGU Simply Traditional Pasta Sauce, 24 oz has become one of my favorite pasta sauces! It only has 8 healthy ingredients, so I'm pleased. The taste is satisfying and I've used it in various pasta dishes. I've even used RAGU when making Spanish rice, when I was out of tomato sauce! I would recommend this product!

I LOVE the ingredients. Very clean, NO SUGAR ADDED, and "simple". I think they used to have one that had vegetables added, or maybe that was another brand? I buy this now, wishing I could have the one that had vegetables in it. I love the clean ingredients, and will often add my own ingredients. I love knowing I'm not giving my kids a little extra table sugar here, and a little extra table sugar there. Just simple, healthy, clean ingredients.
