Oh my gosh this is the perfect headset if you are looking for a real Gaming experience, solid build with high quality sound, trust me u wont miss a beat while playing on your PS4, fyi all the negative reviews are due to not compatible with XBOX, so please dont buy if you are looking to buy for XBOX cause it is not going to work.
Worth the price. Comes complete with TXH Audio drivers built in. First, register your headset on the Razer website. Download the Razer Cortex App. Run the app and there's a series of presets for your entertainment needs. Sit back. Relax and enjoy. You won't regret it.
I love the Razer Nari Essential Headset. One of best product, I've ever used. I was astonished by the 7.1 surround sound that I've ever used before compared to other headsets. According to the manual, I did followed instructions and downloaded the Razer software. Then I realized what the powerful sound came from the headset. Apart the headset is little heavy for me as I've never tried it before. I can change the cushions that I wasn't aware of.
When i got these i anticipated a more metal build than plastic, but i got used to the feel of them after an hour of gameplay. They sound very good though, i played a bass heavy song and had my ears lightly tickled from the vibrations of the bass. The adapter for wireless instantly popped up a tab asking to install synapse 3 and drivers for the headset. The surround sound was great, even though i don't really have a game to properly test them. Not only do they give a 7.1 option but a full surround option for gaming. The microphone is good enough for gaming, but i don't recommend for YouTube recording. NOTE: they come in a third party packaging not a box you would expect to see at a walmart or best buy, mine was wrapped in bubble wrap with the cables inside a box with a razer logo on it also inside another box with hard brown tissue paper on top
Needed a wireless headset for my Nintendo switch. Worked like a charm when docked. Really great quality only thing is that they look huge on my head but definitely worth the sale price
Definitely did not come new. Arrived in a box encased in bubble wrap with only the headset, cable, and wireless usb stick. However performs as expected, just plugged it in and downloaded the software then it worked perfectly. Don't buy from a Walmart third party seller I suppose if you want a new unboxing experience.
Wow...I was really surprised by the audio on this headset. Razer did a great job here. I really can only recommend it on PC since you can't use the THX surround sound on PS4. I usually judge gaming headsets on how well they do with music as well and this sounds great right out of the box with and sounds even better once you use the EQ settings or custom settings in Razer Synapse. If you listen to a lot of music while on your pc I HIGHLY recommend this headset. On the gaming side, this headset also sounds amazing, especially with the THX surround. Synapse lets you choose which programs (IE Spotify, Amazon Music) you want Stereo sound (which is better for music) and which programs you want THX Surround Sound (IE Games, Movies, etc). The mic itself is good, not great but I honestly liked this headset a lot better than the Steel Series Acrtis 7. If you want to spend a little more you can get the regular Nari Wireless which gives you 50MM Drivers, Game Chat Balance, a retractable mic, and you can store your usb dongle in the headset itself, and RGB lighting (at the cost of battery life if you leave it on). If those add ons are important to you get the regular Nari Wireless if not the Nari Essential is just as good.
I bought these hoping that I could leave my wired headset day behind me but alas, had to revert back to my old set. Audio is amazing but if ever think about using the mic for anything, you're out of luck. I had to scream into the mic for it to actually pick up my voice. For a $85 headset, you'd think that stuff would actually work correctly.
This headset is great... for a few months. Bought this headset and really liked the fit and sound quality. Worked perfectly and has bluetooth that stays connected no matter where I am in the house. Except now, after just 2 or 3 months, the right side of the headset stopped working. Apparently this is common for this headset, and razer support won't help. I took great care of the headset and was very gentle with it and this still happened, and I can't return it because I don't keep receipts (who does anymore?). When I spend $100 on something I generally expect it to work. It'll start working again every once in a while but this is really just inexcusable. One Hundred Dollars... Stopped working in 3 months regardless of my care. Very disappointed.
The overall sound quality is amazing. The mic however sucks. I spent two days going through settings to get it to work properly with various audio apps like audacity and discord but gave up. If you just want amazing surround sound in a headset for games then this is definitely a good headset but a headset with a terrible mic is just not what I was looking for.
