This was a birthday gift for my granddaughter and she was thrilled. She rode is immediately & loved the challenge of maneuvering it around our big patio. I appreciated the quick delivery and free shipping!
My granddaughter has been wanting a ripstick since she was nine. At eleven years old, I decided she would recive one for Christmas! Now that was one happy girl!! It was the first item on her wish list, the last gift she opened and she hasn't stopped smiling since!
Ok, when I bought the Ripstick, I truthfully thought it would be a waste of money, but once I used it, I figured out I was wrong. The Ripstick took me about two nights to really learn to ride it, but I'm constantly get better too. I'm 16, 140lbs, and 5 foot 11, and I still can ride it great. I love how you can basically surf on the road. Totally fun
Got this contraption for my two sons cause I was always hearing, "But Daddy Billy has one and I want one too!" So I broke down and got one.....well needless to say after about 1 hour of trying neither of my kids could ride it and gave it up. So me being 38 yrs old and saying to myself dangit I did not spend the money on this thing to sit in the garage, therefore I started to attempt to ride it. Low and behold I did learn! Ha! and my kids were mad cause the old man learned before they did and to tell you the truth I had a hard time giving it back to them. I love it! I guess dad will have to get his own. So with a new determination and some pointers from dad both of my boys learned to ride it and they love it as much as I do!
this ripstik is very very strong. i was at my friends birthday party and my friends had ripstiks too but i left mine in the driveway and it got ran over by a car. the ripstiks metal in the middle bent a little but worked fine and could be used very well after that. it is very fun and i use it every day and i just got the ripstik air and i still use the original ripstik every day.
Really a great product. i have an original ripstik and it is two years old and i have a dlx which is about a year and a half old. most people thinks it doesnt help you skateboard, it does, with your balance! this product takes motivation to learn and is not hard if your persistent but once you learn it you can just get on and go really without thinking. they are amazing products. there are knockoffs such as the wave board and the tsunami board. they are more expensive and only the back section twists. they are much worse than a ripstik. ripstik was the first on the market and should be the only one on the market. buy one!
My 9 yr old son has one at his Nana's house and asked for one to have at home too. I got him the Limited Skulls Edition and he absolutely loves it!!! It's preparing him for snowboarding in Colorado, for our Christmas vacation!!! We got the pink one for his 8 yr old stepsister...she's learning still but loves the way it looks :o) It gets them outside and playing together! It's great exercise too and they don't even know it!! As far as price...I checked every possible store and website and Walmart had absolutely everybody beat!
Did not buy this until my son asked for one and he had practiced on his friends'. After 3 or 4 tries and a couple of hours of practice off and on, he had it figured out. Not sure if I recommend this for all. It is difficult to do and your child needs to be motivated to do it. The product itself has not had any problems. It is well built and runs smoothly. Have heard from my son that the Ripstik G is too heavy to make go fast so the cheaper basic version is the way to go.
Great board: well made and sturdy. Kid loves it. Tons of kids in the neighborhood have them and they ride all over the place together.
I bought this weekago yesterday i was casually riding, the back wheel got shredded down quickly and i hit one tiny bump and it chipped. Overall the ripstik is fun but the wheel quality is bad
