Gift for young nieces

AuntieA December 2, 2016

Excellent product. It was a gift for my soon to be 7 year old niece & soon to be 5 year old niece. Bought one & decided to buy another. The girls love it. It is easy for them to use & they feel like it is extra special because it looks like a laptop. We love it. Would mind one for myself.

Quad core, 16GB, 6.0Marshmallow, keyboard+case!

CyberSenior October 30, 2016

I am very happy with my purchase! What more could you ask for at this price?!!! Just remember to download the complete User Manual. I printed my copy and it is very thorough and helpful. Great for kids and adult beginners. It's compact and easy to take along...

RCA Voyager 7"

Anonymous December 13, 2016

The RCA Voyager 7" is easy to use and versatile. The keyboard case allows for school work t be completed with ease and doubles as a stand if the user wishes to watch Netflix or some other streaming program. Not bad. Just add a micro SD card and you have a small but powerful laptop.

Powerful Android Device

crawforddoctor November 5, 2016

Pros--Very fast Intel Atom Sofia processor (too bad Intel stopped making these in June 2015). Six hour battery life and very sharp screen. Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). Takes a 32 GB SD card and has 16 GB internal storage. Excellent value at only $41 (when I bought it, it is now $49). Cons--Uses a RCA proprietary plug for the charger instead of the standard USB plug. No camera facing away from the user so not OK for the family photos and the self-facing camera is only 1 megapixel.

For the money - I am impressed

FormerFANG October 19, 2016

Its quick, has a great display and looks nice, the case is sturdy but its also a bit slippery and hard to hold onto. Although it says it will take up to 128gb sd card it didnt recognise a 64gb sdxt card. Tried a 32 gb sdhc card and it was fine. Android 6.0 is ok....was expecting more though. The display timeout settings are too rigid. Try listening to music, youll either have to log in every 30 minutes or you set it to never and inadvertently drain the battery. The sound quality is fine on earphones. And marginsl on built in speaker.

Cool Tech for the Price

TXNotwally December 8, 2016

Disclaimer - I'm a poor Tech Junkie. So I don't buy multi-hundred dollar "just released high end" toys for my hobbies. But this is my 3rd RCA Voyager. Pink because my wife kept coveting mine. And second one for me to upgrade from an older model. All 3 work perfectly. The old one is destined to be possibly killed and bricked as I experiment with Rooting and trying to load a pure Linux on it. We received the RCA Voyager PRO (which this isn't advertised as). Your luck may vary. But out of the box, these have worked perfectly for me. Fills the gap between smaller phones and my PC's. Does everything a tablet is used for ( email, browsing, streaming movies, Chrome casting, music, Bluetooth, everything). 16Gig of built-in memory makes it pretty peppy and gives you some storage. But I'm into Android for SD Card Storage. *Supposedly*, not tested by me, with Android 6 Marshmallow, these *should* accept an 128 Gig Micro SD Card. That's a lot of storage. Definitely works with 32 Gig cards. Which means you can cram about 30 HD movies on it. And if you fill that up, get more SD Cards and swap them out. A tough powerhouse? - NO. More than adequate for a normal user? - YES. Great to travel with. Set it up with Device Manager in Google Play and you can Nuke it (wipe it) if you lose it. The Keyboard is a double win for me. Not only can you hit real keys, but the case lets you sit it down and adjust your screen angle just like a mini-laptop.

New to Android

Gangins November 28, 2016

I bought this tablet as an inexpensive way to experience an Android tablet with an physical keyboard....$49 . The manual is non existent as far as info, so no help there. The unit itself is very sturdy and protected in its case and with a stylus (not included) is easy to use....as I have been learning Android with the help of friends and You Tube. My main purpose was to check email on trips and not having to take a computer. With the included mail app, that will work out very well. The battery life is about 4 hours which is ok with my present usage but makes me wonder if I should have taken the deal at purchase of the bundle with an battery pack for about $24 or so more that would recharge/extended the battery life. On the manual (?).....adding a micro USB card proved mildly difficult as I had to study the diagrams to figure out that the tablet pops out of the case so that one can add the card to a slot underneath. The info is there, just not readily apparent. The keyboard is small but has very usable keys like a normal computer keyboard and beats an onscreen keyboard for me. All in all I believe it will do what I want, appears to be a solid construction, and does not break the bank!

Alright for the discounted price

Shina December 13, 2016

I gave this item a 3 because although it was great for the price, it did have some quirks I didn't like. Often times tapping the screen works properly, yet there are times where you have to touch near or above an icon or "button" for it to function like it should. When I was on chrome, I had to put my finger a bit above the x to cancel out a tab, or would otherwise accidentally click on the URL or open a new tab. It's not too much trouble but does annoy me a lot. Additionally, when you play music, it sounds pre-recorded with another phone or recorder no matter where you play it from at times. There also wasn't a music player but this is fixable since you can just download one. It does function a little bit slowly, but I didn't have higher expectations about this quality. The keyboard case is perfect except that it's lightweight so the tablet weight isn't supported when you try to lean it back a little. Hard to see the screen at certain angles because of glare and tinted screen, but overall, was an ok purchase.

You get what you pay for

Davew1969 December 8, 2016

This was purchased is for a family member just wanting something small and compact to use instead of using her phone for everything, plus a keyboard. I did take it out of the box and booted it up to see how it preformed. Like the title says, you get what you pay for. Resolution is poor, setting screen brightness would only really work well inside , or if outside in a nice shaded area. Don't expect anything for speaker quality, as with most tablets or laptops. It only has a single rear firing speaker, so BT or headphones would be optimal. Keyboard, for the size, wasn't that bad. Getting the tablet out of the case felt like I might crack the case because it does fit very tight. Overall, if you are looking for a economical tablet/keyboard case, then this will do the trick. Basic use will be all you will get out of this, but that is all she wants. Boot up time is average. I said yes to recommending this to a friend only if they would want a compact tablet with a keyboard for surfing the web, email, etc...
