Reese Towpower Keyed Alike Lock Kit

My Brother-in-Law just paid $60 for just the ball lock! Now he'll have to find a set of hitch locks too and have 3 different keys... Great deal! Well made! Super Price!!!

This is a good lock set at this price point. I would not lock up a $5000 trailer with it, nor would I call it heavy duty, but great for locking small utility trailers.

This is the perfect security and peace of mind you will need to protect your boat/RV/trailer against theft. I prefer this over just the ball lock, for a few extra bucks you get a second layer of protection with the padlock, BTW the key provided fits both locks! Highly recommend this setup!!

This is a good basic security kit for a trailer. It should deter many thieves just by making it difficult and time consuming to cut thru. I have one kit on each of my small trailers. No issues so far. If someone wants something bad enough, they'll get it one way or another.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this item; it worked perfect, gave me 3 keys and all the locks share the same key, which is so handy. I would recommend this item.

This is a great idea and very convenient way to reduce the number of keys you need to carry while trailering... BUT ... if you lose a key, it is next to impossible to have a copy made ans the blanks seem to come from overseas. I lost my extras and went to two different locksmiths as well as the typical Home store etc., and could not get a working copy made! I had to buy new again to have extra keys. Be careful with your keys!!

I own a reese hitch lock, the yellow ball piece, and thought this set had the same lock plus a few other items keyed alike. I was wrong. The main lock is not as well constructed, thinner overall and the key mechanism is a lower quality. The brass lock is very minimal as well. Use of this set on a lower value trailer might be okay, but I was not pleased that the main lock only appears to be the real deal.

Everything works fine except for the coupler lock. It will not fit a coupler for a travel trailer. The only way to make it fit would be to cut the coupler sides or install the lock backwards.

I like that all three locks use the same key. The coupler lock is a little clumsy to install and I suspect that a good whack with a sledgehammer would defeat it, but it will serve it's purpose on a campground and diacourage a crime of opportunity. Package includes both sizes of bent pins as well.
